The bed sheets in white on a full sized bed
    Amazon

Promising review: "I bought two sets of the sheets, one in navy blue and one in white. I have had the most fun with interchanging the colors so it's really like I have three or four sets sheets. These sheets are just the best, they wash well don't wrinkle even after you slept on them and they just feels so great on the skin. I live in Florida and they are just the best weight ever for the hot humid nights down here, and even if it gets a little chilly with the AC on the body adjust to the cool air with the help of the sheets. I guarantee you won't be sorry that you purchased the sheets. They are reasonably priced — I'm sure there's better for several hundred dollars, but that's out of my budget. I highly recommend these for grandparents moms and dads kids and teens, they are just great!" —HarmonyLady

When I wake up in the morning I have excellent-tasting iced coffee and it makes my mornings quick, because all I have to do is pour it into a to go cup. Promising review: "I’m absolutely in love with the Hyperchiller!!!! I live in South Texas. It’s HOT and that makes it hard to enjoy my coffee in the morning. This little thing gives you iced coffee without watering it down!! There are three compartments- outer most compartment is where you put in water to freeze, middle is where the coffee is poured and then inner most compartment is more ice. When you’re ready for your coffee you pour it directly into the lid which goes into the center compartment. You can let it sit or swirl it around. And WHALAHH!!!! It’s honestly the coolest thing!!" —Staci Leitko

I'm in the big heat wave and it's been over 100 every day for the last week, with no sign of it letting up any time soon. These are quick and easy and the cold water bottles have been the only thing helping me sleep in a room anywhere between 80-90 degrees at night. I love the lids! 11. Essence's Lash Princess mascara for ridiculously effective length that will stay the heck put in the summer heat, but still wash off easily with makeup remover at the end of the day.

Promising review: "I have been a mascara snob my entire adult life, and have been purchasing the same two brands for mascara. Then, I decided to get an inexpensive tube of mascara just to have in my emergency makeup back, and WOW was I surprised! One coat of this stuff is better than four or five coats of my other stuff. It isn't waterproof, so it comes off with just a makeup-removing facial cleanser or micellar water with no problem. It separates and lengthens my lashes. I have people stop and ask me ALL THE TIME what I do to my eyelashes to make them 'look like that.' Like... literally stopped in the middle of a sidewalk in downtown Tampa to ask about my eyelashes. And it really does stay in place, even without a setting spray, when most of the other makeup I use melts off. Seriously, let me put this in perspective: I live in Florida, and I wore this mascara to work every single day for the last year in the heat/humidity (including all through the summer) and they stayed on my lashes better than any other brand of mascara I've used. This is now officially turned into my go-to mascara!" —Kate

A white umbrella attached to a chair shading a laptop on a table
Sportbrella attached to a beach chair

Psst — a lot of reviewers swear by this for easy hands-free shade solutions for strollers and wheelchairs as well!

Promising review: "I live in Florida and have two children in sports that I spend countless hours going to practice and games in the hot summer sun... I quickly learned to get a clip-on fan and umbrella to help stay cool, but the small sporting goods store umbrellas only ever seem to work if the sun is directly over your head, not coming from the side, or roasting your back or neck. Finding this Sport-Brella was like a gift from above. It is bigger, blocks more sun, and most importantly, can be adjusted into all kinds of angles to block the sun from whatever direction it comes from. It is also more durable than previous sport umbrellas I've used in the past. I'm sold on this... it costs a little more, but well worth the investment if you need to spend a lot of time at games and practice." —Wolfshanze

Get it from Amazon for $27.99+ (available in two sizes and eight colors).

Florida living here, so water is a must in summer. Has held up very well in terms of durability. Left it out for a few days, even through midday Fl tsunami, and it still worked great." —Deja T.

I have been trying a couple of new things to help my hair, like using Moroccan Oil on the ends and these pillowcases and it's really a lot better. Promising review: "Perfect for children and pets! I have this hooked up in my 2016 Chevy Cruze. The plug in part is long enough to be hidden along my seats and plugged in to the outlet. I love the fact that I can manually control the speed of the fans right at my finger tips. This is perfect for any smaller car or SUV that doesn’t have AC flow to the back. We live in the south and it gets extremely hot in the backseat, so it’s takes awhile to cool down. I highly recommend this!" —Alexandria

I have one of these and WOWZA, it really helps you get extra mileage out of your shampoo. I have a whole lot of hair on my head so sometimes it's a struggle to feel like I've soaped up my whole scalp thorough, but this is a very effective way to spread out the suds and really get them to the roots. I was worried it might tangle in my hair, but it was totally fine on that front, too. I've noticed that my hair has been a little less greasy at the roots since I started using it. And I'm echoing a ton of reviewers here when I say it just feels reeeeeally, really nice.

I am a thirtysomething post-baby lady, and with my hormones paired with living in Arizona, I needed PJs that were cool and comfortable. But I often found that the fabric of other PJs would rapidly get worn, pilled, and rough. These silky soft PJs have been going strong for months now through countless hot flashes and heat waves when it would get into the 80s in our bedroom. If you are a hot-blooded person and need to cool down, I can't recommend these PJs enough. It is shading outside my roommate's western bedroom window, providing filtered light for some plants, shade for our dogs when they go out to play and pee, and protect my hydrophobic dog from the rare rain. So far, so good! a reviewer mirror selfie of someone wearing a sports bra and the biker shorts

I bought these for running last year and I am SO MAD whenever they're in the wash that I just bought several more pairs for summer — the material is nice and thick, so I thought they'd overheat, but they actually stay lightweight and cooling even on my longest runs. It has just the right amount of compression for a workout, but not so much that they're uncomfy to wear casually, either.

Promising review: "I’m getting back into running again and these actually stay up and place the thighs don’t rub together or ride up. I love the pockets. I just had two babies in two years and I am almost four months postpartum with my second child. I live in Florida and it’s hard I enjoy running so long leggings are becoming out of the question for me. I don’t like short shorts and these are just absolutely perfect as far as length and fit goes. The material is great as far as sweating and see-through goes. I would definitely recommend the shorts as either activewear or even to lounge around the house in." —J L

Promising review: "I live in Vegas, and the heat here gets pretty intense. I've often wished I could find a way to wet my face to cool down without making my makeup run. These do exactly that. I don't care if it's 'just water' or liquid gold. It provides me with a little moisture and coolness in intense dry heat and leaves my makeup intact. That makes it more than worth the cost to me." —Deborah M. Okey

Promising review: "My Labrador loves this mat! I opened it and put it on his dog bed and before I knew it, he was asleep on it. He overheats quickly (we live in south central Texas) and he seems to love it. If all goes well in the next few weeks, I’ll be purchasing another for the convenience of not having to move it all over the house." —June P.

I swear by this to the point where if I can't find it in the morning on a summer run, I just won't go out, LOLOLOL. My boobs chafe SO BADLY under my sports bra bands, no matter what kind I'm wearing, but putting on a tiny bit of this before I leave works like a charm. Absolutely no more friction and no more going "OW OW OW" in the shower because my literal boob wounds were stinging. (Psst — if you already *DO* have chafing, I use Bio-Oil to soothe it because everything else stings like heck — you can get it for $8.92 on Amazon!)

Promising review: "I had a terrible summer in Florida this year with the high temps and humidity and started to chafe every time I wore my sport bra (five times a week) so bad. It was painful and my skin was breaking in places all along my sport bra band. Powder and/or vaseline did not help. I found this product, and have not had even one episode of chafing once I started using it. it's easy to apply; i just put it anywhere my sports bra band touches front and back. haven't chafed not one time since i started using it." —Heather

    35. Or a pair of lacy thigh bands that'll stay in place all through the warm weather months to not only protect *existing* chafing between your legs (it always comes outta nowhere, y'all), but also to prevent it from happening again, so you don't have to worry whenever want to flounce around in dresses.

I own a pair of these, and unlike me showing off in aforementioned dresses, these STAY PUT. There are little grippers on them that lock them in place, but are gentle enough that you don't even notice 'em.

Promising review: "I have thick thighs naturally, plus I am a weight lifter, so my thighs touch at the top. Add to that, we live in the Middle East right now and it is not just hot, but also extremely humid! Walking more than a couple of minutes in a skirt/dress, your legs sweat and start chaffing. I tried creams, lotions, little spandex shorts (they kept creeping up, not a help) and finally saw these. THANK GOODNESS!! They fit great, stay put, DO THEIR JOB, and look cute. I have a couple pair now, they wash and wear very well. One caution- do not put them in the dryer. They get stuck to themselves and can become a bit warped in fit once pulled apart. They still work, but the fit is a little off on that pair now. I will be a lifelong user of these I'm sure!" —Ciara Kaplan

Promising review: "I have owned several of these in survival and hurricane supply kits for many years but never put one to use. I went on a distance hike on a day that turned out to be unusually warm. I had a camelback and a spare water bottle off of my mountain bike. Ended up rupturing the bladder of the pack and losing all of the water out of it. I was left with my water bottle and my Lifestraw. Water everywhere, being marshlands of Southern Florida. I could have used the straw directly in any of them, but I just resorted to filling the bottle and drinking it out with the straw. I lived, so I know it works. I probably would not have made it home had I not had it with me. Buy one! Buy several!" —Nefarious Rogue

Promising review: "I use various pain relieving products in various forms. Biofreeze is one of the best topical ointments I have found. I have had both my knees replaced, my left ankle is more metal than bone. I have both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis and have back issues. But, I also do 5K and I am currently training for a half marathon. I also do Spin classes on a regular basis. Biofreeze keeps me going. It smells like menthol when you first put it on. It's a nice smell, if you like menthol. Either way, the smell does go away after awhile. Still, if you don't like the smell of cooling menthol, this is not the product for you. Biofreeze gives you a cooling sensation when you first apply it to your skin that is especially nice in the summer where I live (Phoenix, Arizona). It's  colorless, so it's never stained any of my clothes. Biofreeze is not tested on animals which is important to me." —Bunny Shawe
