2. MOTHXR
Famous Person: Penn Badgley, aka Dan from Gossip Girl.
Pretty sure Gossip Girl has had the highest number of actors starting music careers out of all the TV shows. Penn Badgley's band is one of the best of the lot though, thanks to music that is actually, erm, good, and marketing that doesn't rely too heavily on the "omg, look, it's the guy from Gossip Girl!" angle. Thankfully, these guys' sound and style is strong enough to stand up all on its own.
3. Dead Man's Bones

Famous Person: Ryan Gosling, as in, Hey Girl, it's Ryan Gosling.
Back in 2009, Ryan Gosling decided to form a two-man band, the concept of which is (as far as i'm aware) *spooky stuff*. It also utilises a full children's choir. Amazingly enough though, the music is actually pretty good. I'd recommend forgetting all the supernatural concept stuff and just listening to the songs. In this case, the music speaks for itself.
4. Lolawolf
5. Coconut Records
6. Juliette and the Licks
Famous Person: Juliette Lewis of Martin Scorsese hit Cape Fear.
Juliette's rock band were first active from 2003 to 2009, and recorded a few decent tunes in that time. They reformed last year and have a new album coming out soon – until then, I recommend listening to "Got Love to Kill" on repeat.

Chris Jericho is a WWE star. An earlier version of this post stated that he was a WWF star. We live in hope that he does someday become a WWF star though. The pandas need all the help they can get.
