Armagh city isn't just the ecclesiastical capital of Ireland, though that's pretty cool – you're in orchard county now, with Armagh apple cider to sip on, and Bramley fields to run through.   
Throw in the nearby nature reserves, Gosford Forest and the stunning Ring of Gullion, and you've got yourself a break that's so much more than just a city.

A history lover like you will be at home in Chester, a Victorian and Tudor delight of a city. Unbelievably pretty, the town centre is full of timber frames and red sandstone, all surrounded by original Roman walls. Step outside the walls and see the Roman Amphitheatre, catch a movie at the 1930s art deco cinema, or grab a pint at the Bear & Billet, a pub in a building that dates back to 1664.
