1. 10 Things I Hate About You (1999)
2. The Wedding Planner (2001)
3. Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011)
4. Say Anything (1989)

If you hate love but are familiar with these films, maybe it's time to be honest and accept your soft side.
If you have ever felt love, then hate, then maybe love again, you've felt that awkward mix of hate and lust. If you relate, you must watch Heath Ledger play typical high school "bad boy" Patrick who catches feelings for the beautiful Kat (Julia Stiles). Patrick is offered $500 to date and then break the heart of Kat before the end of the school year, but in the meantime catches feelings for her — which turns things a bit upside down.
Love typically heads in the direction of hiring a wedding planner for the big day, but this love story starts with the wedding planner. Literally. As a wedding planner, Mary (Jennifer Lopez) focuses her life on other peoples' big day, never finding her own prince charming. That is until she meets Steve (Matthew McConaughey) — but her work might not be the best place for finding her prince.
In this hysterical film, the charming Jacob (Ryan Gosling) helps Cal (Steve Carrell) get his "game" back in the midst of Cal's divorce. During this journey, they both experience the battle between playing the field and finding, or rekindling, love.
With one of the most iconic scenes of all time, Say Anything is one of the most classic rom-coms. John Cusack plays Lloyd, a quirky optimist who devotes his time to wooing typical unattainable straight-A high school girl Diane, played by Ione Skye. In this film, Lloyd must not only win her heart but also the heart of her strict father. It's the perfect mix of high school stereotypes and breaking norms.
Diving deep into the complexities of love, this film intertwines nine different love stories. It highlights love at different stages in life and includes the highs and the lows, the good and the bad, and the ugly and the beautiful. This movie proves that the one thing everyone has in common is the human emotion of love.
As a Minnie Driver stan, this movie is a can't-miss. Bob (David Duchovny) is a heartbroken widower who agrees to go on a blind date with his friend. The date is awful, but sparks actually fly between Bob and his waitress, Gracie (Driver) — however, her being a recovered heart transplant patient adds complexity and unusual circumstances to this new romance.
Advice columnist Andie (played by Kate Hudson) sets out to write a new hit piece that is ultimately giving tips about how to get a guy to leave you in 10 days. She sets out to find a man to test her experiment, and confident and romantic Benjamin (Matthew McConaughey) is the perfect candidate with a big ego that would be lovely to take down — but plans soon backfire.
Icon Meryl Streep plays Jane, the divorcee of Jake (Alec Baldwin) in this comedic film. When she ends up getting tangled in an affair with her ex, newly divorced man Adam (Steve Martin) finds himself falling for her and becoming part of a love triangle. It has all the awkwardness and lust of a high school love story, showing that love is timeless.
If you haven't seen Clueless, you must at least know some of its 1990s iconic fashion moments or memorable lines. In this teen culture film, shallow but socially successful Cher (Alicia Silverstone) takes on matchmaking as one of her popularity powers, but when she becomes too successful in her matchmaking makeovers and loses attention she finds herself reaching out to ex-stepbrother Josh (Paul Rudd).
If you are a product of Disney, you cannot miss Miley Cyrus in this movie where she must navigate her way through being a troubled teen, family heartbreak, and first love. Also, how could you not watch a rom-com with Liam Hemsworth in it? This movie is the reason these two met, and it's heartbreaking to know their future fate, but reminds us of a simpler time.
