Thereâs a lot of flack here for husbands. Working from home is so difficult but itâs not like all of them are just sitting in the corner watching. My husband isnât able to work from home and often isnât home until just before or after dinner so that responsibility still falls to me.âŠÂ
We had a mom who was constantly asking questions on behalf of her 17 year old. We told both her and her kid that she was old enough to ask her own questions. Suddenly we started getting emailed questions from the student that were fairly articulated and did not sound like the studentâŠÂ
Not that no gen z have boomer parents, but statistically most would have gen x parents.
Coming from someone who works with kids primarily in the gen z age group.
In a small defence of them. I come from an Asian family and play Mahjong but the number of people who still know the rules is diminishing rapidly. Many of my younger cousins never learnt and my none Asian friends are super intimidated by the Chinese characters and itâs hard to getâŠÂ
That I may not instantly have that emotional bond with my child and the post partum depression is very real, very common and itâs ok to seek help for it. I suffered alone for a long time.

Treat school like a 9-5 job. If you have a 9 o'clock class but don't have another till 2 don't go back to your dorm or house between and end up playing video games till 2 in the morning. Work straight (obviously with breaks) from 9-5 whether you have classes all day or not, then you'llâŠÂ
I remember becoming obsessed after reading then watching the movie Matilda when I was 6 or 7. I went on a pancake making spree which evolved into a love of being in the kitchen. It's my comfort zone now.
