Can We Please Talk About Flavor Flav Referring To Himself As Pete Davidson's Birthday Gift From Kim Kardashian

"Pete Davidson loves himself some Flavor Flav."

Scorpio season brought multiple milestone occasions to Pete Davidson's native New York City, including but not limited to his private dinner with Kim Kardashian in the metro area's previously less talked-about borough of Staten Island.

The Saturday Night Live comedian and former Keeping Up With the Kardashians star rendezvoused on both the East and West Coasts last month though, with another notable highlight being their trip to Palm Springs around Pete's birthday.

But the prevailing headline to emerge from Pete's b-day celebration came when another group snapshot unexpectedly made its way onto Instagram. It pictured the SNL cast member with Kim, her mom Kris Jenner, and Public Enemy's very own Flavor Flav.

"Celebrating my adopted son Pete Davidson’s birthday wit the legendz @kimkardashian and @krisjenner," Flav captioned the photo on his social media page.

The internet certainly wasn't short on questions about how this hangout came to be, and we've at last received some answers from none other than the rapper himself. According to Flav, who recounted the fateful November gathering in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Pete is a longtime fan — so Kim arranged for them to meet on his birthday.

"One thing that I could say is Pete Davidson loves himself some Flavor Flav," the artist explained. "Everything he does is, 'Flavor Flav this, Flavor Flav that, Flavor Flav this, Flavor Flav that.' So Kim said, 'OK, well, for your birthday, you are going to have Flavor Flav.'"

"She sent for me and that's how I ended up there," he continued. "I was the birthday gift."

Flav remembered signing a book for Pete and giving him the trademark clock necklace he had on during their meetup — which was a first for the performer — before apparently agreeing to be Pete's "adopted father," whatever that means.
