23-Year-Old Cancer Patient Creates Stunning Finger Paintings During Treatment

"I have cancer, but I am thriving."

This is Sarah Frank, a 23-year-old from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Earlier this year, Frank was diagnosed with a type of cancer called Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Unfortunately, Frank's cancer relapsed after two months. Her medical team called it "some fucked up shit."

On top of her full-on battle with cancer, Frank is doing something else that’s pretty incredible: finger-painting gorgeous floral still life works of art.

She finds comfort in the bright, colorful compositions she imagines for the canvas.

Just look at some of her stunning paintings.

    Seriously. 😍

Growing up, Frank loved art. She started finger painting again during cancer treatment as a form of therapy.

A self-taught artist, every floral still life Frank creates is made by delicately mixing and applying acrylic paint—start to finish—entirely with her fingertips while sitting on the kitchen floor.

Frank started receiving commissions from friends, family, and strangers alike.

While her painting commissions help with personal expenses, she can only paint so much due to exhaustion and painful side effects during treatment.

"I have cancer, but I am thriving."
