Ronda Rousey Kept Her Promise To Go To The Marine Corps Ball

A loss isn't going to stop her from having a rad time.

UFC champion and total badass Ronda Rousey on Friday kept a promise she made to accompany Marine Lance Cpl. Jarrod Haschert to the Marine Corps ball — despite the fancy gala coming less than a month after she suffered a brutal loss to Holly Holm.

Back in September, Haschert, a stranger to Rousey, sent her a message asking her to attend the ball with him and, much to his surprise, she agreed.

After Rousey was brutally defeated by Holly Holm – with a knock out that landed Rousey in the hospital – many questioned whether the fighter would show. But she did! And took photos with a bunch of starstruck marines.

"I promised I'd go, it's an honor to be asked," Rousey told TMZ on her way to catch a plane to South Carolina for the ball.

"Honestly, I'd probably stay on my couch, crying and eating ice cream if he hadn't asked me. So it's probably a good thing."

But there was one condition, Rousey told press when she first said yes to Haschert's proposal: "He's gonna be a gentleman," she said. "I'm not a first date kinda girl."

Judging from the social media updates, it looks like Haschert lived up to the requirements and the two had a pretty good time!

Rousey even made some time for selfies and a bathroom picture time with the ladies.

A loss may keep Ronda down, but not out. Ronda Rousey kept her promise and attended the Marine Corps ball.

What a good sport!
