We have watched people like Justin Bieber, Matty B, even Cardi B and many other social media personalities become overnight celebrities. Since then it seems like everyone is doing some kind of tactic in attempts to go viral. As we all know Snapchat, Instagram, and YouTube were all meant to share others life but we forget that people usually only like to post the glamorous part of their day. If you had a flat tire on the way to the biggest event, you wouldn't show your followers how you had to get dirty and change the tire, you would show them how you were cool enough to hang out with celebrities when you finally made it to the event.
We have become accustomed to seeing peoples highs and just expect to skyrocket to the top like them because it doesn't seem that hard...according to social media. The hard work doesn't always get its light but it definitely isn't omitted out of the process of obtaining everything we want. The struggle makes the end results so much sweeter. Hope for the best but prepare for the worst because the most qualified individual in the room is the one that is equipped for any obstacle that may present itself.
Don't get caught up in the mirage of social media. While it is a great place to show off what you are doing and have done, it also makes a lot look much better than it really is. Work hard and be the best you. Cardi B, and the rest of the celebrities that built their brand off of social media all stress that success came with hard work, determination and countless sleepless nights. Mostly a great amount of self-motivation. Everyone can do it but everyone has their own story. Go write yours!
