Blake Lively Got Ryan Reynolds A Deeply Personal Gift And It's Honestly So Romantic

I can't cope with these two.

We all know that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are a ridiculously cute, extremely loved-up couple.

They not only gush about each other at any opportunity, but they also make sure to express their love through romantic gestures.

Take, for example, the 18-karat-gold and diamond earring in the shape of a cupid's arrow that Reynolds gave Lively for Valentine's Day two years ago.

Well, Lively has now returned the favour and gifted Reynolds with the most thoughtful, personal present I think I've ever seen.

Taking to Instagram, Reynolds revealed that Lively had commissioned an artist to create a bespoke piece of work depicting her husband busy at his first job as a paperboy in Vancouver.

"My first job was delivering newspapers for the Vancouver Sun," Reynolds wrote in the accompanying caption. "The house in the painting is my childhood home. My brothers and I spent years trying to kill each other on that lawn."

"There are a lot of Easter eggs in the painting, including my idol, John Candy on the front page of the newspaper," he continued. "The house no longer stands but it’s a living, breathing thing in my head."

Reynolds went on to describe the painting as "the greatest present my wife has ever given me".

But this is Ryan Reynolds we're talking about, so of course he ended the post by gently trolling Lively.

You can read Reynolds' caption in full here.

My first job was delivering newspapers for the Vancouver Sun. The house in the painting is my childhood home. My brothers and I spent years trying to kill each other on that lawn. There are a lot of Easter eggs in the painting, including my idol, John Candy on the front page of the newspaper. The house no longer stands but it’s a living, breathing thing in my head. This piece of art is the greatest present my wife has ever given me. It was created by @dannygalieote. If there’s ever a fire, I’m grabbing this first. I’ll come back for Blake.
