It's been almost a month since Kim Kardashian was held up at gunpoint and robbed in a Paris apartment. And, since then, she's retreated from public view and stayed off social media.
In fact, her personal assistant posted a message on her website to explain to fans that Kim was taking time off, and that her app would be updated by friends and family members until further notice.
However, last night an image of Kim appeared on her Facebook page.
And everyone went into total meltdown, saying Kim had "made her return to social media."
Over 6,000 people commented on the photo, welcoming Kim back, telling her how great she looks.
However, the image was almost certainly two months old – and didn't mark Kim's return to social media at all.
Judging by her ~glam~ in the photo – mainly the wavy hair – this photo was likely taken on the set of a photo shoot 10 weeks ago.
In fact, if you look closely, not only is her hair almost identical, but the bronze eyeshadow is too. And if you look even closer at the "new" photograph, it looks as though she's wearing a white top underneath the jacket – exactly like the old one.
But THAT'S NOT IT, because this photo (on the left,) from the same photo shoot also matches the hair length in the "new" image.
And if you needed any further proof, take a look at the floor and skirting board in the full-length version that Kim posted to Snapchat.
It's identical to the floor in the "new" picture.
And the floor also looks identical in this snap that Kim posted from that photo shoot 10 weeks ago.
Another dead giveaway that this photo wasn't new was the fact that it was being used to promote LuMee – it's likely that the post was scheduled to appear on her Facebook account long before the robbery.
And as if that wasn't enough, the entire post has now been deleted.
I think it's pretty safe to say that when Kim does make her return to social media, there will be no doubt that it's legit.
