Louis Tomlinson Has Broken His Silence After His Mother's Death

Louis has thanked his fans for their "incredible support."

Last week came the sad news that Louis Tomlinson's mother, Johannah Deakin, had died from Leukemia at the age of 43.

Within minutes of the news being announced, fans took to Twitter to mourn her, with #RIPJohannah trending worldwide.

And, just two days after the news of her death was announced, Louis performed at the X Factor final, dedicating the song to his mother.

People were extremely moved by the performance, and praised Louis for being so brave.

So incredibly proud of Louis for being such an incredible and brave person. He makes everyone so proud, especially his mum. #ProudOfLouis

After the performance, Louis took to Twitter to reveal just how difficult he'd found it - but thanked fans for their support.

That was harder than I ever imagined. I want to thank everyone around me and all of the amazing fans out there that made that so special!

Before going on to say that Johannah would have been "so fucking proud."

Feeling so much love around me and my family . Mum would have been so fucking proud ( sorry for swearing mum 😝 ) love you !

And Louis has now shared an image from the performance on Instagram, reiterating his thanks to fans.

His return to Instagram is especially poignant given that his last post was shared three weeks ago, and was an image of him and his mum in which he told her he loved her "so much."

    Sending you love, Louis. 💗
