Since getting together last February, Liam Payne and Cheryl have kept their relationship extremely private.
In fact, despite there being 6 months of constant pregnancy speculation, Cheryl only confirmed she and Liam are having a baby 3 weeks ago.
Well, Liam has now broken his silence, speaking about Cheryl for the first time ever.
Much has been made of the fact that the pair first met when Liam was 14 and Cheryl was 24, during her time as a judge on The X Factor. And Liam has revealed that she was his teenage crush – and he feels as though he's living out his "dream" by being with her.
Speaking to Rollacoaster magazine, he explained:
This is the thing. In a non-cliché way, it's weird waking up every day and literally living out your dream. You wake up in the most beautiful places. Obviously I have the most beautiful girlfriend in the world and she's absolutely amazing. She's been my dream girl since I was younger. She's so ace.
He went on to call her "wonderful" and revealed that her professional accomplishments inspire him.
Liam said:
She is a wonderful, wonderful person and it's amazing to have someone who can relate to so many things – someone who's taken greater steps than me. Her solo career was amazing. She's been in the industry for 14 years now. She fully supports me. I'm still learning, I'm only 23.
Liam concluded by hinting at their baby news, saying how "precious" this time is for them.
He said:
We're super happy. It's a very personal, precious time for us.
