We all know that Kim Kardashian is a fashionista with a flawless Instagram game.

However, when Kim posted this photo over the weekend, eagle-eyed fans noticed that the car in the background looked distorted and accused her of photoshopping the image.

Distortions like this occur when Photoshop or another image editing app is used – particularly if the aim is to make the subject appear thinner than they actually are.

Some people even pulled up the original photo to prove that the one Kim posted had been altered.

And before long, the story was everywhere.

However, Kim has now shut down the rumours of a ~Photoshop fail~, branding them "so ridiculous," before revealing what had actually happened.

Writing on her app, Kim said: "I'm seeing online and on news media outlets that I suffered a "Photoshop fail." It's so ridiculous. I reposted a picture on Instagram that a fan had already posted – I only added a filter to it. It looks like the fan mirrored the photo, which is the reason the car looks like that."

And sure enough, she shared the mirrored edit a fan had made to prove that the distortion came from that and not some form of other digital enhancement.

Kim concluded: "So this is actually really funny to me! Who would even Photoshop a car to look like that?! LOL."

Well, that clears that up.
