Jada Pinkett Smith Revealed That Drama "Behind The Scenes" Was The Reason She Did The Jordyn Woods Tell-All Interview

"I really tried to wait to see if anybody else could do it."

If you cast your mind back to February of this year, I'm sure you'll remember the never-ending drama involving Khloé Kardashian, Tristan Thompson, and Jordyn Woods.

And you'll definitely remember Woods' announcement that she'd be sitting down for a tell-all interview with her longtime close family friend Jada Pinkett Smith just days after the cheating allegations broke.

Then, during the half-hour interview, Woods gave her side of the story.

The interview went on to become the most successful in Pinkett Smith's entire Red Table Talk series, racking up 33 million views to date.

But Pinkett Smith has now opened up about the interview and revealed that she was actually hesitant to be involved in the initial stages, for fear of being "exploitative".

"I really tried to wait to see if anybody else could do it," Pinkett Smith went on. "I felt like, 'You’ve got one shot, and I don’t know if I’m the best place for that because of our relationship.'"

But then Pinkett Smith cryptically said things were "transpiring" behind the scenes that ultimately made her decide to go ahead with the interview.

It's unclear what was unfolding behind the scenes, but according to Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the only person who knew about the interview before it was publicly announced was Kris Jenner.
