"I really tried to wait to see if anybody else could do it."
It's safe to say that the news of Woods' interview did not go down well with Kardashian, who claimed that Woods didn't apologise to her before deciding to speak out publicly.
She claimed that Thompson had kissed her as she left a house party, but denied that anything further had occurred between them. She also said they were both drunk and she didn't blame Thompson for his part. Woods said she hadn't told Kardashian the full truth about what happened initially because she was trying to "protect her heart", but added that she felt bad about how everything had gone down and didn't want to be perceived as a "home-wrecker".
Speaking to Metro, she said: "What was interesting about that one is I didn't know if I would be able to do her justice because she's so close to me. I really wanted to see if someone else would do the interview because I also didn't want it to feel exploitative."
She said: "A lot of things transpired behind the scenes that made it imperative that we do it. It had to be done."
Khloé Kardashian apparently found out at the same time as the rest of the world and was furious that Jenner hadn't given her the heads-up. Jenner explained that Pinkett Smith had texted her the night before the news went public, and she hadn't attempted to put a stop to the interview. Kardashian said to her: "Jada called you when?! These people have no fucking loyalty to you. We are your fucking tribe. I’m your daughter. They’re fucking with us. My family was ruined! What don’t you get?!"
