Celebrities Have Gone In Hard On Trump After The Election Result

Shock, anger, fear, and heartbreak mainly. But many are now campaigning for change.

    There was shock.

    Disbelief.

This can't be happening right now.

    And nausea.

    Which gave way to anger.

America, you have failed. What the actual fuck. Devastating. I won't recognize @realDonaldTrump as our president, ever. #dumptrucktrump

    And complete devastation.

This is an embarrassing night for America. We've let a hatemonger lead our great nation. We've let a bully set our course. I'm devastated.

    Some celebrities were genuinely fearful.

Some didn't like Bush. Some didn't like Obama. But this is different. Forget dislike. Many are genuinely fearful now. This is new.

With Josh Charles saying he was afraid to raise his son in this new world.

I'm going to kiss my sleeping son and go to bed. Tomorrow I'll keep trying to raise him right in a world that just got a whole lot scarier.

And Kristen Bell sharing this chilling reminder.

Janelle Monáe said minorities had been failed.

Once again America has continued to FAIL WOMEN, MINORITIES, MUSLIMS, & IMMIGRANTS, LGBTQ, this is so disgusting.

And that she was ashamed of the result.

Joshua Malina said he had "overestimated the decency" of humanity.

As cynical as I tend to be, I cannot believe how badly I overestimated the decency of the average American.

Somewhere tonight there’s a little, racist, narcissistic, woman-hating, Jew-baiting kid who now knows that he can grow up to be President.

Zendaya posted a picture of darkness, saying she felt "speechless" and "heartbroken."

    Shonda Rhimes was in disbelief.

Really, people? ANYONE can be President? ANYONE? ANY-ONE?

No but seriously: THIS many of you don't mind the body-part grabbing xenophobic man who says "there's my black over there?"

While Kate Walsh declared the result a "national disaster."

This is a national disaster. An illiterate, bigoted, misogynistic, racist, rapist has become president. I have no words

This man has said 'nigger', confessed to sexual assault on tape & is due in court on rape charges next month...

Octavia Spencer said we had taken Obama for granted. 😭

Gonna miss Obama. maybe this country needs a Trump presidency to see just how good we had it and took it for granted!!!!! #GodBlessTheUSA

While Rashida Jones said it was a "dark day."

We are very close to electing an openly sexist, racist, self interested meglomaniac to the highest office in our country. It's a dark day.

And declaring that she would never consider Trump her president.

Chrissy Teigen said the "entire world" was laughing at the decision.

I went to sleep early. Woke up to this. To my fellow humans outside of the US. We don't want this. And we are heartbroken.

And Sarah Hyland asked how we tell the younger generation about the result.

While Judd Apatow said even comedy couldn't make the situation better.

One thing I do not want to watch right now-- comedy about any of this. That's how terrifying and disappointing this is.

    Ariana Grande cried.

Cher wanted to leave planet Earth.

    Time 2 Blast Off 🚀 Hello Mars🌚 Goodbye 🌏 Love Cher Xo💔💋 #electionNight FUCK YOU DONALD TRUMP🚽🖕🏽

And Jaime King posted this emotional message, asking: "What have we become?"

Chelsea Peretti said she felt "demoralized."

This is disgusting and truly demoralizing the message it sends. Goodnight

While Zach Braff couldn't believe the whole thing wasn't a dream.

And Kylie Jenner likened it to the end of the world.

    Amy Schumer vented her fury.

Emmy Rossum revealed just how personal the result felt.

This morning still sad. I was looking forward to the next 4 yrs. To having a child, maybe a daughter, under the first female president.

I wanted to tell her she could achieve anything she wanted. That she would win if she led with kindness. Not to make fun of people.Or bully.

I am a woman. I am Jewish. I am marrying an Arab American. My sister in law is handicapped. I'm a victim of sexual violence. It's personal.

We are staring into the face of our darkest self America. Why does it have to have a dyed combover??

J.K. Rowling encouraged people to stick up for and defend one another in the face of bigotry and hate.

And challenge "racism, misogyny and hatred."

    Jessica Chastain echoed the sentiment.

The positive element from all this is that we can no longer pretend that we are free of racism & sexism. The question is, what do we do now?

Ruby Rose said the result was "a change we didn't know we needed...to remind us we have work to do."

While Eva Longoria said she felt the need to be positive.

Kesha told everyone to spread love and hope.

Before apologising "on behalf of America to the LGBT community, Women, Minorities, Veterans, Immigrants, Muslims... whoever our future president has offended."

Know your values, keep your head high, stand strong... we're in this together. ❤️🇺🇸
