If there is a movie or a TV show that is out and they are interested in, they have to read the book first. Once they get to watch it, we have a conversation about which is better. They are starting to realize the book is always better!

My school makes students wear uniforms. The boys used to have to wear a specific colored tie to show what grade they belonged in. That changed when teachers had to constantly yell "don't swing your tie in the air like a helicopter" and/or "don't use your tie as a weapon to hit people…

When middle school boys play the "penis tap" game either at desks or waiting in line. And you have to say, don't touch each other or keep your hands to yourself. There is always the one kid who gets really mad and takes it to far so you have to write them up for "hitting each other…

Gap or Old Navy (for he cheaper version). Both have good basics that you can build your wardrobe around. They both do a good job of staying with trends so you can still dress like the youth, but in a more sophisticated manner
