the cooker with ramen ingredients in it

Promising review: "God's ramen cooker. This thing may seem like just an ordinary Tupperware, but I assure you it will blow that thin plastic garbage out of the water. It retains heat amazingly and does not bend or falter under extreme temperatures. I'm a college student and I have never felt such joy from making ramen in my small dorm microwave, for a 900-watt I recommend five minutes. Buy this product if you live and breathe air, because it is beautiful." —Theron

Get it from Amazon for $10.98 (available in red or black).

    2. Or if you wanna elevate your pantry old faithful, a Sun Noodle “Tantanmen” ramen kit to ensnare that restaurant taste for a mere short trip from your couch to microwave back to couch.

    bowl of ramen
    Sun Noodle

Founder Hidehito Uki moved to Hawaii from Japan in 1981 with one suitcase and a noodle machine. He met with prospective customers and took their feedback to create perfectly customized noodles for different restaurants. Hidehito met his wife Keiko at the okazuya (Japanese delicatessen) she owned down the street from his noodle factory. And it's been delicious magic since then.

Sun Noodle recently partnered with Momofuku for some Spicy Korean Ramen kits that are, of course, sold out now. BUT Sun Noodle has other delicious kits worth your time and slurps. This particular spicy sesame ramen kit balances spicy heat and creaminess thanks to sesame paste. This ain't your standard block of ramen. But also, they're priced so well that they're still super budget-friendly!

Get two servings from Sun Noodle for $4.99.

    3. Pre-made simmer sauces you can lean on when you're super hungry but don't want to eat your entree dry. (I feel that.) These'll help make it happen without digging through your cabinet for some spice you've used once and then let expire.

cast iron pan with the Thai Coconut Sauce cooking with chicken and bok choy

I've tried nearly all of these sauces and can vouch they dress up all kinds of stuff. If you're craving some takeout food you're too lazy to replicate at home, some of these (esp the Thai Coconut Sauce that's shown here) will help you get some of that taste without buying a million ingredients. Psst, they're also Keto- and Paleo-friendly but IMO don't taste like it.

Promising review: "These sauces are magic. A high end trick added to our meal prep. Really tasty options. We have been doing meal prep for quite a while and the salt and pepper meals where getting old. We tried to incorporate skillet sauces into our meals and tried all the brands out there. They were ok but not very healthy. When I saw these on Amazon I had to try them (Keto and Paleo Certified) and they taste amazing. Now we have a different flavor each and every day and we can still keep the diet." —Fernando Pimentel

    4. Or The Omsom Bundle, which is really just fancy talk for flavorful Asian dish starters (aka, the sauces, aromatics, and seasonings) to keep stashed in your pantry for heavy lifting. Each comes with recipes you can easily follow along. Just add protein and veggies!

Cofounders and sisters Vanessa and Kim Pham started Omsom after stints at startups and in consulting. As the kids of Vietnamese refugees, they were inspired by all the from-scratch Viet dinners they watched their mom cook growing up. With Omsom, they aim to bring lots of flavor to your pantry with their pantry starters that'll help you make some amaaaazing Asian dishes. Each starter serves 2–3 people. (Fantastic news for lazy people like me that buy a spice once, and then let it expire.)

This bundle will give you some major kick for your buck. It includes the entire Omsom collection of 6 cuisines with 12 starters total, including: 1 Southeast Asian Omsom Sampler with Vietnamese, Thai, + Filipino starters and 1 East Asian Omsom Sampler with Japanese, Korean, + Chinese starters.

Promising review: "Delicious and easy dinner. I love the flavors because they are nostalgic and delicious and make meal time a breeze with my kids." —Suzanne R.

    5. A variety pack of A Dozen Cousins ready-to-eat seasoned beans for an extremely tasty recipe of a dinner staple already zhuzhed up for you, unlike the bulk bag of dried black beans you bought at the grocery store but have actively avoided because of all the extra work.

The founder based his flavorful creations off his own Creole, Caribbean, and Latin kitchen. These are the ultimate in convenience. You only have to put the bag in the microwave for 60 seconds, which'll help you concentrate on the other parts of your meal. I love mixing the Trini Chickpea Curry with leftover rice for a super satisfying weekday lunch. The black beans are TO DIE FOR. These beans have become one of my pantry go-tos!

Promising review: "Who writes a review about beans? Somebody who loves beans but had given up on them, until now. This is a great product. Canned beans from my local supermarket are always a disappointment so I stopped getting them. I don't have time to cook beans myself but A Dozen Cousins beans are fresh and taste terrific. I am trying to eat healthier and these are a great way to do that. I've been trying to avoid packaged, processed foods but the natural ingredients make these different. I can feel good about eating them. The beans are whole and not mashed up like in cans. All of the varieties are seasoned well and versatile. I've had them on their own, in salads and in wrap sandwiches. I'm really happy to have found these and hope they continue to add new flavors and products. Do yourself a favor and order some. You won't regret it." —Amazon Customer

This cooker is amazing!! Saves me time, it’s quick and I don’t have to watch it while it cooks I can go get ready and then I hear a loud buzzer notifying me when the eggs are done! 8. A car vent dip clip so you're always prepared for a seriously saucey situation on the go.

reviewer dipping fry into sauce that's placed in the dip clip and attached to car vent

Promising review: "Very useful! I love that the cup is removable so if you have one of those giant Chick-fil-A ketchup cups, it can sit within the holder without the added cup, but a smaller sauce like from Wendy’s can sit inside the additional cup so it won’t fall through." —catherine

I don't know how I did without the Instant Pot this long. It makes dinner fast as a working mother I put everything in set the timer to cook as I am leaving work and when I get home it's done and clean up is easy. 10. And some slow cooker liners to make cleanup a total cinch. I use these and they're THE BEST.

slow cooker with two dips in it separated thanks to the plastic liners

I always keep these in my kitchen cabinets on the same shelf as my ziplock bags because have you ever tried to clean out a slow cooker? Yeah? OK, you know what I'm talking about. It's super cumbersome! I used to *not* use my slow cooker because I dreaded the cleanup. These totally solve that! And no, your food won't taste or smell like plastic because of them. Get a box of six liners from Amazon for $2.98.

    11. An under-cabinet lid opener that'll help pop open that jar of pasta sauce in a jiffy. Everyone can use this, but reviewers with limited dexterity especially find it helpful!,

Promising review: "I have tried a million different tools and gadgets for help in opening jars of all sizes, and each one had its own issues! Finally, someone has invented the perfect jar opener that is simple and requires no space in your kitchen drawers or counters. There was one person who suggested placing the opener with the sharp end of the 'V' closest to you and with it placed in the front, in the right corner under your cabinet. I followed those directions and it works perfectly and easily. I have already placed an order for another one for a gift or my sister." —moorecats

Get it from Amazon for $14.75.

    12. And a microwave pasta cooker that'll help you achieve al dente noods ready to top off with some jarred sauce. Who wants to turn on the stove and wait for that salted water to boil if you don't have to?! Not me.

It yields up to four servings at a time, and is top-rack dishwasher-safe.

Promising review: "Works great for a lazy cook like myself who prefers to put in as little effort as possible. Easy to use, and doesn’t boil over and make a mess in the microwave. Have used it to make about four different types of pasta, and all have turned out great using the times given in the easy guide." —michael lemke

Get it from Amazon for $16.99.

    13. Safe grabs silicone mats from Shark Tank for putting a safe barrier between your hands and whatever currently hot thing you just heated up in the microwave. (Wait a few before you actually put that meal in your mouth, OK?!)

Promising review: "Okay, so I am a sucker for innovations that I see on Shark Tank so bought this without giving it much thought. When it arrived I thought I had probably made a mistake, but turns out I use them all the time. I keep one in the microwave, which makes clean-up easier but also allows me to use it as a potholder. circular shaped rotating oven

Like I needed another reason to ingest more Digiorno's. Don't @ me. It's good.

Promising review: "When I saw the first Pizzazz come out on the market my first reaction was 'Great! Another novelty kitchen gadget. Yeah, I will pass on that one.' Years later, my faithful counter toaster oven dies. Too weak for toasts, I did cook lots of meals for one or two in there without warming up the house, which is desirable during the Arizona summer. As I was researching some models with the desired features, the great reviews on this came up, and I was wondering why so many seemed to love it. We rarely eat pizza or anything fried for that matter. I use my oven to bake and broil lean proteins and vegetables. It turns out, it does that just fine! So far I have cooked chicken and fish filets, stuffed salmon, stuffed mushrooms, refrigerated cinnamon rolls, pizza, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, melted cheese on top of broccoli and cauliflower, and of course, I make great sandwich melts from time to time. It works wonders for warming up buns for burgers or pulled pork sandwiches. I love that you can add the ingredients as food cooks and you can monitor progress easily. The disc is easy to clean but I often use parchment paper for speedy cleaning." —Anania

Get it from Amazon for $54.

Promising review: "Unless you are a 'foodie' and need to grill your sandwiches, this bag is a great way to get a warm sandwich — and if you have cheese on it, the cheese will melt. Just make your sandwich and put it in the bag. Put the bag in your toaster and you have a great sandwich! Its so easy, and when I am done, I just rinse the bag under the faucet. Great for kids who love grilled cheese without the fuss of 'grilling'!" —joycetv

Promising review: "I live alone in a small apartment with a small kitchen that has very little storage space, and I often eat pasta. Using a colander means one more thing I have to wash (and store...and put away). I have a couple of hand strainers, but that makes things awkward, especially since I have a condition that makes it even more so. This little guy has made things so much easier! Its small size makes it easy to wash (by hand, for me) and then just toss in a drawer. It's sturdy, even the clips, so I don't feel I have to be gentle with it." —Jonathan Dowell

Get it from Amazon for $15.99+ (available in four colors).

Promising review: "My husband loves to cook. We have two very small children, so while his meals are mostly yummy, they are also sometimes burnt. :) This was perfect for him. He's able to turn it on, run into the next room to save the day with a plastic bag and a washcloth for whatever blowout-esque mess I'm dealing with, forget he's cooking, run back into the kitchen frantically when he remembers, and arrive only to find the meal practically cooking itself. Best. Gift. Ever." —Jake the ChefturnedDaddy

Get it from UncommonGoods for $25.

    20. A microwave rice cooker because, um, that thing sitting in your kitchen can REALLY bring about some quick results. It'll steam rice, polenta, and couscous with ease in a mere 15 minutes.

two bowls with a spoon and lids, one with rice and another with vegetables

It's top-rack dishwasher safe and also safe for the fridge and freezer. Just make sure you don't use butter or oil before microwaving because reviewers found that led to burning the rice cooker. Eep!

Promising review: "I've had this for seven months now, and I think it's still my favorite tool in my entire kitchen. I eat a ton of rice, and I love how easy this is to use and how easy it is to clean. I put in one cup of white rice and two cups of water, and microwave it for 15 minutes. It comes out consistent every time. In the past, I've cooked rice on the stove and used an electronic rice cooker, and I prefer this microwave one to both. I hated how messy cooking on the stove is, and my electric cooker got mold down inside the part that you can't wash. With this, there's no mess, and there's nowhere you can't clean or that can trap mold or bacteria. I can throw every part of it into the dishwasher after I'm done with it." —C. Stone

Get it from Amazon for $15.19.

This handy gadget works as a contact grill, panini press, full grill, full griddle, and half grill/half griddle! It comes with removable and reversible nonstick cooking plates that are dishwasher-safe!

Promising review: "I used it for the first time today to make a grilled cheese sandwich. Yes, I'm so lazy I didn't want to make it on the stove and have to flip the sandwich over. It was outstanding — pepper jack cheese, bacon, and jalapeño slices — and the clean-up was simple. The cheese had bubbled out of the sandwich onto the plates and it wiped up easily. I probably won't put the plates in the dishwasher, but the fact that they're removable will make them easier to clean than my Foreman grill. 31. And a magnetic microwave cover for keeping a microwave mess from lengthening the time between heating and eating.

clear dome over a plate in front of a microwave

Promising review: "I have been trying to find a larger cover that would be the least difficult to store when not in use. I wasn't sure if this would fit in the recessed ceiling of our 20-year-old microwave, but the measurements said it would. But, magnets in the microwave?! I read the reviews and decided to go for it. It arrived quickly from the seller. It fits just fine, with room to spare. The magnets are strong enough to hold it in, and don't interfere with heating when in use. I never cook food longer than a few minutes, and if I did I would pull it off for a while. We have used it daily for a few months now and it hasn't warped, stained or retained smells. It covers food high enough that it doesn't need as much washing as the others I've had (I am a bit obsessive with cleaning). The sides go far enough down to the turntable that side-splatters don't get past, and the arches between the 'legs' are low while still giving air flow. I can also pick it up using the arched sides instead of the molded handle on top when I'm being lazy. This is an excellent cover!" —Emntnmama
