I'm always on the hunt for functional coats that don't make me look like a miserable puff ball, especially when it comes to in-between jackets that I can wear before the temperatures dip to the point of no return. Thankfully, this Lark & Ro trench coat has got my back.
Things I love about it?
1. The little pop of gingham near the collar (and sleeves if I decide to cuff them).
2. Being able to subtly change up the style by leaving the buttons open or closed — plus the inner coat is shorter, so it's perfect for showing off, say, my favorite pair of lacy shorts.
3. The removable hood; for the most part I wear separate beanies, but it's a nice backup in case I forget.
4. The belt to give the whole thing some shape (remember how I hate looking like a puff ball?).
It worked wonderfully for the colder parts of fall and the milder parts of winter in NYC, and I'll definitely be breaking it out for spring as soon as the temps hit 45 again. It feels a tad more sharp and dimensional than my other jackets, and there's still plenty of room underneath for layering without looking clumsy and bulky. —Sarah Han

There isn't much I love more than a slightly extra hair accessory. Give me a headband that looks like a crown, pearl-bedecked barrettes, bobby pins with red lips on them — honestly, next-level accessories are the best way to make three-day-old hair look fresh. And I have a *lot* of hair, so for me, they need to be pretty substantial to not get lost in the tangle.
So when I saw these golden hair slides in the shape of branches, I knew I had to order them immediately. I put them in a post (what can I say, I write what I know) and clicked *add to cart*. I wore them the day after they arrived, perched atop a very messy French twist. I've worn them on a knotted half-back style (pictured above). I've used them to hold back braided sections to keep the frizz out of my face. They *never* fall out! (Pro tip, though: If you're using them in an updo, you need regular bobby pins to hold the actual hair together — these are really only decorative.) I have had them for months, and they are holding up exceptionally well and seem very sturdy. The gold hasn't worn off at all, and they add the perfect touch of pretty to any hairstyle. The three different sizes are super versatile, and for $8.99, they're a STEAL. If I had seen them in a department store for more money, I would totally have bought them anyway. —Maitland Quitmeyer

Recently I was out and I saw a person wearing a sweatshirt that said “NEW YORK OR NOWHERE” and I was tempted to rob this person of their sweatshirt. But I controlled myself, and used the Google to find out where I could get one. I saw myself wearing it all over the land, especially in sad sad places that are not New York. On a scale of 1–10, I love New York at a 11.5, so I had to have it.
I found it at Saks — which was sad because it was v expensive, but I was determined to be the most obnoxious New York boi I could possibly be. I even went to Saks out in the real world to make sure I got the right size; I'm wearing a size small, for reference. (They actually only had sweaters with ~other places~ printed on them, so I figured out my size and then bought it online.) It's so cozy and soft, it's the best crewneck I will ever own, and it goes really well with the ridiculous ensemble I had in mind paired with these leggings. —Francine Hendrickson

Until very recently, I thought strapless bras were a crooked sham. BUT GUESS WHAT? They’re not! Because I’ve found a magical strapless bra that actually stays put! World, please give a round of applause to the Harper Wilde Flex bra. This bra actually stays put. Like, I don’t have to adjust it every 2.5 seconds, which, as a 34DD, is a very big deal. It keeps my breast friends lifted and supported, side-boob spillage is not an issue, and it even comes with removable straps. (This bra is designed with a special “X” in the front meant to help the bra stay put, BTW.) I’ve also washed it about a dozen times and it still fits exactly the same as it did when I first got it.
The cool thing about Harper Wilde is that it also offers an at-home try-on service — consider it a Warby Parker for your undergarments! They brand carries three everyday bras styles: strapless, T-shirt, and push-up. I haven’t tried the last two yet, but boy oh boy, do I have to. Side note: I’ve made a ton of my friends order this bra and they’ve all loved it, too. I currently have it in black, but the beige one is already in my shopping cart. —AnaMaria Glavan

I love a good pouch and would scare anyone who gave me one if I were to truly express just how much they excite me. Plus, I always say that my fave color is metallic, and in the past year I've also welcomed in iridescent. So when a friend gave me this clutch in July 2017, I was overwhelmed with joy. Though it's sold as a a bag rather than a pouch, I use it every day to hold my makeup (or at least the stuff I use regularly plus my preferred lippies of the moment).
It also works quite well as a carry-on toiletry bag, as it's about the same size and shows its contents even more clearly than pouches I've bought specifically for that purpose. It easily slips into my backpack that I always carry on, and no one else mistakes this bag for their own in an X-ray machine bin. Oh, and it's super easy to clean with some Windex. Pouch lovers, rejoice! —Elizabeth Lilly

I will never forget the first time I heard Selena’s hypnotizing voice. My mom and I were listening to the Bay Area’s Radio Romantico, which played modern-day and classic Spanish language love songs. Normally we sang along with artists like Julio Iglesias and Marco Antonio Solís, but on this particularly chilly morning the car was filled with the powerfully gentle voice of Selena Quintanilla explaining how her ex would look at her like a flower, with so much love. The song was sad but uplifting — and I was hooked! I spent the rest of the car ride asking my mom every question I could think of about this mystery songstress.
Fast-forward to today, and I still play her music on repeat, watch her videos, and laugh at her infectious personality during interviews. I even try my best to show off my fandom but for a while it was tough to find T-shirts, sweatshirts, and merch unless I scoured the pages of Etsy or speciality stores. Recently, I saw this cozy sweatshirt at Forever 21 and I was thrilled! They actually have a whole section of merch dedicated to her. Yes, it’s just a black sweatshirt, but every time I wear it one of her fans stops me to express their love for it and their adoration for her, and of course, to ask where I got it. It makes me excited and proud to wear it. —Elena Garcia
