10. An airy nap dress I own and plan to wear all year with a moto jacket and ankle boots. It's super easy to adjust the puff sleeves from on- to off-the-shoulder to fit your mood. Also, um, nap dresses live up to their names, k?

Elizabeth Lilly / BuzzFeed

I know, I look SO elegant and not at all like I've been running on ~three hours of sleep a night for going on a week at this point of my vacation, right?! I packed it for Italy knowing that I'd be going in lots of churches and religious sites that require having your shoulders and knees covered, and I pulled it off with this by merely slipping the sleeves up higher (as seen on the right when visiting the church with The Mouth of Truth from A Roman Holiday...turns out I'm NOT a liar after all). But I owned this dress months before I touched down in Rome and have been racking up compliments from strangers on the streets of NYC thanks to this frock. ("Thanks! It's from Amazon!') It washes well, is super lightweight, and very easy to wear with a regular bra. The only thing it *doesn't* have is pockets. But I'll make an exception for this comfy beaut.

Get it from Amazon for $32.99 (available in sizes XS–XL and eight colors).

11. And while we're talking about 'em, another nap gingham puff-sleeve dress you'll be sad you didn't own until after clicking *add to cart* after reading this story. I've done LOTS of lounging and napping in this beaut.

'Tis true. I also brought this dress along on vacation and it even passed The Vatican dress code! I knew I had to have it after my colleague Emma Lord bought and reviewed it (#4 here). My colleague Elena Garcia also owns it in blue (#9 here). This super lightweight nap dress is unlined, but NOT see-through...even in daylight. It was so comfy for gallivanting around and long enough for me to sit on a random step on a bridge to take a rest and give my old dogs a rest. It made for a dramatic, but not TOO dramatic, look in photos I'll cherish forever. And it kept me cool in what turned out to be some hotter weather than what I anticipated. If you're looking for a way to wear something nightgown-adjacent in public but still look quite put-together, this dress is for you.

Get it from Amazon for $28.99 (available in sizes S–XL and eight colors).

12. A pair of *ripped* leggings in case you live for the peek-a-boo look of ripped jeans but have all but broken up with denim because of the past year and a half.,

Promising review: "These are amazing!! They are buttery soft, so not that shiny nylon look! Yay! They are so comfortable and fashionable! They hit right to my ankles, which is perfect! They also have a great stretch to them! Love these!!" —Diede

Get it from Amazon for $16.99+ (available in sizes XS–XXL and 23 colors/styles).

13. An oversized cashmere sweater that'll go with all sorts of bottoms. High-waisted jeans, faux-leather leggers, athletic leggings, skirts, PJ pants... your pick!

Promising review: "This sweater is so cute, soft, and comfortable!! It is definitely oversized, but it really is cute with jeggings and boots. I cannot express enough how comfy and soft it is, it is like being wrapped in a blanket!" —Sparkler22

Get it from Amazon for $29.87+ (available in 22 styles).

14. And a cozy turtleneck dress in case you'd like to get cozy *and* pants-less but socially acceptable. I personally look forward to Winnie the Pooh-levels of comfort one day!,

Promising review: "I LOVE THIS SWEATER DRESS! I read the reviews, and they said if you want the oversize look to go up a size. I am 5’4", 145 pounds, and normally wear a medium, but I went up to a large for the oversize look. I normally roll up the sleeve once for a cute cuffed look. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND." —Jodi Hochstetler

Get it from Amazon for $32.99+ (available in sizes S-XL and in 24 styles)

15. A faux fur-lined cardi that's substantial enough to leave the house wearing when you'd rather not bother with a coat. Are you walking the runway or just running errands?

model wearing a gray chunky cardigan with toggles up the front that's also lined in faux fur

Promising review: "I LOVE IT!!! It's very warm for wet Pacific Northwest fall weather. No weird smell when I opened the packaging. I am 5'3 and 190 lbs with a 36HH chest, and the large fits comfortably enough that I'll be able to layer a thick sweater or a hoodie underneath it for winter. It's not baggy, but it's not skintight either. The sleeves are long enough, at rest they come about halfway down my hand (base of my fingers). The lining is very soft and the knit seems durable and well constructed. The only thing I would wish for improvement on is the hood, I wish it was just a little bit bigger. I prefer oversized hoods that cover my entire head when wearing my hair up." —Sierra

Get it from Amazon for $35.69+ (available in sizes S–XXL and 22 colors/styles).

16. A gorgeous Morticia-style velvet dress that will feel so nice next time you hug yourself shivering in your still-somehow-frigid office.

21. And while we're on the subject, a pair of budget-friendly high-waisted leggings as a base for your most fashionable sweater or spooky sweatshirts.

Promising review: "Wow! I was extremely skeptical of these leggings considering they’re a 'one size fits all' type of deal. I am 5'5" and curvier. I was worried they were going to be too tight or see-through. However, that’s not the case! They are not see-through even after three washes so far. They are extremely soft and comfortable. The only thing I noticed is they are more of a muted black compared to some of my other leggings but it’s barely noticeable. I liked them so much I ordered a second pair. Def would recommend!" —nichole campton

Get it from Amazon for $12.49+ (available in two sizes and in 55 colors).

22. A printed maxi that'll please folks who like some fabric on their arms but won't compromise on style.

model wears navy and maroon quarter sleeve dress

Promising review: "I searched out this dress after researching the wardrobe of Judy Hale on the Netflix show Dead to Me. I love her modern boho style. This was worn in one of the fist episodes. After reading the other reviews about size, I ordered the XL. I am typically a US size 8 and between a M and L in most big brand sizes. The XL fit exactly how I wanted. I paired mine with a brown suede belt. The slit falls a little too high for me so I will probably sew it about 1" below the buttons. In my opinion, the buttons are a bit cheap, but not too bad. I believe this fabric to be 100% rayon challis (approx 140gm/m2). It's soft and flowy but not too sheer with this print." —bFranj

Get it from Amazon for $25.99 (available in sizes S–XXL and nine patterns).

23. An animal print number with bell sleeves that you can also snag in Buffalo plaid and pair with leggings and boots all winter long.

Promising review: "The material is lovely and the zipper in the back brings the quality of this dress right up. I chose the leopard and I’m so glad I did — it’s a classy print for me. Today I wore jewel green medium heeled slides and matching fringe green earrings!" —Cindy

Get it from Amazon for $27.99+ (available in sizes XS–XXL and 45 styles).

24. Soft faux-fur slippers built for folks who like to let their toes breathe while scooting around the house or taking a stroll to the mailbox.,

Promising review: "I love these!! They are so cute and really fluffy. I was worried my feet wouldn’t feel secure in them, but they are just snug enough to keep me from falling out of them. The best part is the thick rubber sole. I can wear these to walk outside and they don’t get worn out on the bottom. I typically wear a 9–9.5 and I bought a 9. They fit like a glove." —Marty

Get them from Amazon for $17.99+ (available in women's sizes S–XL and six colors).

25. A flowy boho style you'll get a ton of use out of in other seasons. Reviewers have paired it with cowboy boots and tights for a cold weather-friendly look that'll make you fend off the compliments., Amazon

FYI, reviewers say it runs a tad big because that's the style.

Promising review: "Bought this to wear to a concert and it was perfect! It does run a little big but not so big that you need to exchange. Super comfortable! Love it!" —Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon for $20.15+ (available in sizes S–2X and seven colors).

Promising review: "This is the easy breezy simple dress I’ve been looking for! It’s super soft with some stretch, has pockets!!! And with the print of some tie-dye accent gives it some pizazz so it’s not so plain. You can throw this on for anything. Dress it up with some boots or heels, keep it casual with flip flops or slides. Accessorize with a jean jacket, jewelry or hats. Want more colors! I normally wear Large’s in most of my clothes and got the same here, fits loose and flowy as expected." —Anne D.

Promising review: "Let me first start out by saying I'm a mom of two, in my mid-30s. Pants and I disagree on far too many levels (aka, once I found leggings after having children, it's been impossible to go back). Pair that with working from home (ahem, never having motivation to wear actual pants even if I wanted to) and you have a full-blown 'this woman is going to spend the rest of her life in yoga pants' situation. Enter these jeggings. I am not even apologizing for using the silly term of 'jeggings.' These could nearly pass for a legging-feel situation. ON TOP OF THAT, they look like real jeans. DONE. TAKE MY MONEY."Sara W.

Get it from Amazon for $18.47+ (available in sizes 2–28, three inseams, and eight colors).

28. High-waisted flare pants if you're bored to death with skinny jeans or maybe just recently rewatched Almost Famous and thought, hmmmmmm.,
