38 Things That Made Me Think, “Why Don’t I Own That Already?”

Milk frothers, roomy dresses, and brightening face masks — just some of the things I need to have in my house right this second.

We hope you love the products we recommend! All of them were independently selected by our editors. Just so you know, BuzzFeed may collect a share of sales or other compensation from the links on this page if you decide to shop from them. Oh, and FYI — prices are accurate and items in stock as of time of publication.

    1. An awesome little handheld milk frother that'll up your at-home coffee game to the next level — it can basically froth up any milky drink (even those with dairy alternatives)!,

Promising review: "I did not know I needed this in my life. I saw a video of someone obsessed with the drink, London Fog (Earl Grey tea, vanilla, and milk), and she offhandedly mentioned you can easily make your own if you get a frother. At home, I mostly make different versions of drip coffee because frothers seemed so 'extra' until I got this! To put this little guy together, you do need two double-A batteries. It comes with a little stand. I made a very strong drip coffee (Blue Bottle Bella Donovan), warmed up whole milk in the microwave, stuck the frother in the middle of the milk, wiggled it around a bit, added three teaspoons of sugar (I like it sweet), and it was so good!!! So perfect. Plus the side of the box has a QR code with a link to some recipes, a coupon, and it automatically registers your warranty. Pretty awesome! I’m super excited for future matcha lattes and practicing latte art. Also! My coffee shop costs like $5 almost $6 for a latte, I’m lactose intolerant so every latte I have to pay $0.70 more. I just hate that! This will save me money and I get my cozy, caffeine fix in the comfort of my own home!" —RobinFromCalifornia

Get it from Amazon for $11.95 (available in 17 colors).

    2. An animal print mini dress designed with a tie-back detail, a tiered ruffle hem, and an A-line cut so you're always in style even when you're sweating it out.

Promising review: "This is the perfect summer dress. The color is exactly as pictured and well made for the price. The fabric is soft and light even though it is predominantly polyester. I ordered a large even though I wear a medium and it fits just right at the bust area and has a fuller flouncy skirt at the bottom which is what I wanted. If you want a fuller and roomier fit at the bottom, order one to two sizes up. The dress will look and feel better on the body. I bought the white and now I wished I had bought all of them. I am definitely buying more of these from this seller. Very satisfied! Happy days!" —Truth Wand

Get it from Amazon for $12.99+ (available in sizes S-XL and in three colors).

    3. A jar of clear Museum Gel — an adhesive gel designed to secure your belongings in place and protect them from any falls, it's also easily removable, reusable, and non-toxic. Plus, it won't stain or leave any marks.,

Promising review: "A little goes a long way and it works perfectly! We needed this for southern California's earthquake-prone geography and the glass art on glass shelves. We were able to affix the gel easily and everything stays put now. You can barely see the gel through the glass shelf. The amount you need is very small so I nearly have a full container left and I was able to attach all the items shown in this picture. I could have done 10-15 sets of shelves just like this." —Dennis & Karen gunther

Get it from Amazon for $11.49.

    4. An adjustable back stretcher and lumbar support device capable of providing you with some serious relief from your back pain. It works by helping you get a safe and gentle back stretch through one of its four settings.

Promising review: "This device is incredible. I have a bulging disc and braces, and other types of back stretching never quite got it right for my lower lumbar region. I also have a shifted tailbone from the same injury and my back pain has subsided substantially after just a week of use for 10 minutes a day. I've even cut down on my intake of OTC pain relievers and noticed I've been sleeping better as well. It was difficult to get it set up, but with elbow grease and patience it worked out alright." —Kevin Newcomb

Get it from Amazon for $26.99.

    5. An incredible little Whiskware Egg Mixer complete with a BlenderBall wire whisk, built-in egg cracker, and enough space to scramble up to eight eggs at once — it even has a built-in egg separator if you like your eggs sans yolk!

Promising review: "A genuinely helpful cooking gizmo. As easy to use as could possibly be, instant clean-up simply by shaking with hot water plus a squirt of liquid soap, and inexpensive to boot! For omelets, scrambled eggs, and any other dishes requiring blended eggs, this altogether beats other devices — whether it's a hand egg beater, electric blender, or even a whisk or a fork." —synapsys

Get it from Amazon for $5.49.

    6. A bottle of 100% vegan ACURE Brightening Facial Scrub made with sea kelp and French green clay which can soften, detoxify, cleanse, and brighten skin without being overly harsh.,

Promising review: "One of my absolute favorite face exfoliating scrubs! The consistency is very thick and effective — it hardly has a scent, almost like a clay smell really. I apply in the shower because it is much easier to wash off. Another thing I do sometimes is add a little bit of liquid face wash to the scrub to help it stay on my skin easier. Scrub by applying in a light circular motion. I immediately notice an improvement in skin tone and texture. I’ll continue to use this once a week. A bottle goes a long way, you only need a dime-sized amount to cover your face. As you can see from my photo." —BritBee

Get it from Amazon for $9.99+ (available in three variations).

    7. A pair of rubber-sole platform espadrilles for a little height without any of the discomfort — ::in my best Chandler voice:: seriously, could there be a more perfect summer shoe?

Promising review: "Nothing bad to say about these sandals. They are so cute and super comfortable. I wear a size 8 and ordered an 8 however they are just a little big so you could order a half-size down. I’m keeping these though, I’ll make it work." —Melissa

Get them from Amazon for $19.99+ (available in sizes 5.5–10.5 and in 13 colors).

    8. A double-sided silicone lip brush to get rid of any excess skin and make your lips totally matte lipstick-ready.

A model holding three scrubber lip brushes.

Promising review: "I admit I was skeptical about this product but my desperation to regain my soft lips made me click the BUY button. I just had a baby and between all the milk I was pumping for the baby and caffeine drinking my body was dried out and dehydrated. My lips took a hit and were dried, cracked, and even bleeding — very painful. Even my tried and true expensive-as-heck lip moisturizer I use couldn't help. Having this lip brush did the trick and made all the difference. The exfoliation must have allowed my lip moisturizer to get better absorbed. I was able to see results in just a couple of days. Now I have soft and supple lips again. I tried using a toothbrush and I would not recommend it. First, the toothbrush doesn't feel as good and second, it will waste whatever product you are using with it because the product will settle deep in the bristles so you have to use a lot more of it, and third it's also hard to clean. This silicone lip brush feels so good and since the 'bristles' or 'bumps' are shallow, I just needed to use a little bit of my expensive lip moisturizer and it was so easy to clean the brush afterward. Where has this thing been all my life? I don't think I can live without it now." —Double-J

Get it from Amazon for $7.99 (available in three colors). And you might want to consider pairing it with this effective little lip scrub, if you're in the market.

    9. A waterproof vinyl sticker that delivers a powerful declaration (and catchy song) in just a few letters — err, well, in like 24 letters.

The CBKHHWHCCMTIDHFHTTTSWHCB waterproof sticker stuck to a laptop.
    Vinyl For Dayz on Etsy

Get it from Vinyl For Dayz on Etsy for $4.40.

    10. A microplane foot file to easily remove some of that straight-up disgusting dry cracked skin from your feet., Amazon

Promising review: "I was BLOWN AWAY by this product! I have dealt with calloused, cracked heels for as long as I can remember. Some things have worked better than others in the past, but I’ve been in a rut of bad feet for the past several months. The foot rasp/file/scraper that I had was not even coming close to doing the job, and it is a similar style to this one so I wasn’t getting my hopes up for this one. Based on the reviews and before/after pics I had to give it a shot though! I gave it a go before getting in the shower and was just so impressed with how easy to use it was and how incredibly it worked. It took less than 15 minutes between both feet and VERY LITTLE pressure/effort was required. This $11 product gave me better results than most professional pedicures I’ve had! (Pictures are as follows: top — before, middle — immediately after, bottom - the next morning after lotioning them up before bed.)" —Khall

Get it from Amazon for $10.95.

    11. A bottle of Tend Skin solution that, when applied after shaving and waxing, can effectively reduce the appearance of razor bumps, burns, and redness — bye-bye bumps., Amazon

Promising review: "I have sensitive skin and this has helped tremendously! I’m a woman who unfortunately started shaving my chin 20 years ago to get rid of peach fuzz. I’ve had stubble ever since and have to shave every day. I get rashes on my chin due to shaving. My skin is now less sensitive and my rash is almost gone!" —Angela

Get it from Amazon for $22.96.

    12. A super cute nonmedical mask and headband set to help you keep your hair out of your face and your face covered up.

A person wearing the matching mask and headband.
    Little Penguin Crochet on Etsy

    13. A versatile Katzco Furniture Repair Kit complete with six wood markers and six wax sticks all designed to match whatever wood your need fixed., Amazon

Promising review: "Despite our consistent efforts, it took almost a year to teach our new dog to not jump up on the back door. And as you can see in the first picture, he managed to do a lot of scratching. That's why I bought this marker kit, to repair those scratches. I used 'oak,' a lighter color, on the scratches. I did have to go over them again to completely cover them. That's what you see in the second picture, and it took me about 10 minutes total. I bought the kit with the wax crayons as I hoped to fill in the scratches too, I read in another review that it's possible but takes a lot of work. Unless I'm looking for the defects, I no longer notice the scratches (and mind you, these are at eye level) so this did the job I wanted." —P. Ratliff

Get a set of 13 markers and wax sticks from Amazon for $9.99.

    14. A delicate set of handmade midi rings for when you feel like dressing up your fingers just a little bit.

Promising review: "This dress is soo cute and the material is great for how cheap it is! I was so impressed by the quality. I ordered a size bigger than normal and I probably could have gotten my normal size but I wanted to have it a little longer so I could wear it to work!" —Gracyn Herman

Get it from Amazon for $21.99+ (available in sizes S-XXL, in 26 colors, and in short and long sleeve).

    16. A roll of very handy window screen repair tape, a temporary (or not so temporary) way to repair small cuts or tears in your screen door without having to replace the whole thing.

Promising review: "The mesh of the tape is slightly smaller than the mesh of my windows, so it doesn't blend in. But it's better than a hole and cheaper than replacing the screen and it still lets air through, so I am very happy." —Alara

Get it from Amazon for $9.99+ (available in two colors).

    17. A trendy Craft Crush Bracelet Box Kit filled with everything you need to make eight neutral-colored bracelets. EIGHT! And you don't need any additional tools or materials. Everything comes in the box!

Promising review: "The instructions about how to make each bracelet are very well-written. I purchased this to make for myself and have made bracelets in the past so for me, it was quite easy. If someone has never made bracelets before and not familiar with techniques it could be more challenging but the instructions make it easy!" —Stephanie

Get it from Amazon for $19.99.

    18. Or if you want to stick with the classics, try this 1,000+ piece jewelry making kit filled with so many awesome beads, strings, and charms in the traditional neon colors we all grew up with.

Promising review: "Thanks to the coronavirus lockdown, we have a four-year-old to entertain ALL THE TIME!!! This bracelet set helped a LOT. My LO was almost addicted to it. We had to literally hide it to get her to stop...and stop driving us crazy. There are two thicknesses of string. Some of the beads are too small for the thicker strings. Other than that pretty good set." —AC

Get it from Amazon for $8.99+ (available in three kits).

    19. Versatile faux-leather slides complete with a lightly cushioned bed so that every step you take will be totally comfy.

A customer review photo of the faux-leather slides in brown.

If you don't have narrow feet, reviewers recommend sizing up a half size.

Promising review: "They look really nice, not cheap at all!!! I bought these for me but my daughter loved them as well. Good purchase you won’t regret. My size is 5 but got a 5.5, there is not much of a difference. Yes, get these asap!!!" —Amazon Customer

    20. A bottle of Herstyler Hair Repair Serum, an argan oil hair serum infused with vitamin E and aloe vera to help control frizz, straighten hair, and give you some amazing shine., Amazon

Promising review: "I found this product through a BuzzFeed article for those with frizzy hair and THIS PRODUCT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I put this serum through the wringer; I got this to stand up to Bay Area fog AND the nasty, humid heatwave we got a couple of weeks ago. No frizz, no extra curls. Nothing! On top of that, it made my hair super glossy. I'm very impressed. Heads up though, a little goes a long way. One pump is enough to cover my hair and I have medium length hair. Also, it can make your hair look oily if you use too much. I do have oily hair so working on my ends first then working to my roots works for me." —Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon for $11.99.

Promising review: "These lights are amazing! You get three! What a great price! I bought two sets, so I got 6! I put some in my kitchen, under my cabinets, it's so nice walking into the kitchen and having the lights come on. I have three of them up! It will be nice if we lose power! Just walking from room to room and having the rooms light up. Great price! Great light! They take four AAA batteries. I WOULD recommend these lights to everyone!!" —Denise

    23. A genius little Pocket Palette, a travel-friendly totally portable kit with everything you need to do your makeup on the go! It includes mascara, BB cream, and blush/lip tint that'll have you looking fly AF without having to carry your entire makeup bag around.,

Promising review: "I travel often for work, and it’s so much easier to pack a few pocket palettes than tote my regular makeup — they’re super carry-on bag/airport friendly! I love my Lancôme but I’d much rather not tote around heavy glass bottles, so I keep a palette at the ready for the gym, in my purse, at my desk at work, etc. — they’re that convenient. For the makeup itself, the quality of the BB cream is great. It’s light, feels and looks natural, you can get at least two full uses out of the quantity. The lip/cheek color amount is also generous. I personally go for a darker lip generally, but this is good for blush and will last me a while. I love how handy the mascara applicator is, so fun-sized. For someone on the go, who isn't soooo makeup savvy that I'm contouring all the time, this product is really practical!" —Maureen

Get a pack of three from Amazon for $11.99+ (available in three shades).

    24. A stick of the Natural Dog Company's Snout Soother — an organic, all-natural, fragrance-free, vegan balm that helps heal dry, chapped, cracked, crusty, or bleeding dog noses.

Promising review: "We rescued a small Pomeranian who suffers from a very dry snout. I find it best to rub the Snout Soother onto my finger and then wipe it on her nose. She tried to eat the tube when I used it directly on her face. She doesn't love the action of me putting it on her, but she leaves it alone once it's on. I've been putting it on multiple times per day (two to three times) over the past week and her nose is definitely starting to look a little more nourished. This tube is small, for sure. It's the size of a tube of ChapStick, just be aware of that. Using so little each time, I'm sure this tube will still last quite a while." —asader83

Get it from Amazon for $7.95.

    25. A bundle of fresh eucalyptus you place in your shower and help make your everyday ritual even more relaxing — the steam from your shower or bath helps the soothing fragrance release and fill the air.

    26. A ruffled, smocked bodice open back stunner that just might be the dress of your vacationing dreams — emphasis on the dream part.

Promising review: "I have been wanting this same dress from Free People but it was $118. I was leery about this considering it was much cheaper in cost but it is PERFECT! I'm 5-foot-6, 116 lbs., and it fit absolutely perfect. Great length too. Keep in mind you can't wear a bra with it and if you are larger-busted (I'm small, an A cup) then it may fit totally different. It's thin and lightweight but with skin-colored undies, I had no problem with lines or visibility. I'm considering buying it in another color 😍" —Bullitt02797

Get it from Amazon for $27.99+ (available in sizes S-XL and in 18 colors).

    27. A tube of Cali White charcoal and coconut oil toothpaste which is both vegan and fluoride- and sulfate-free while being clinically proven to really whiten your teeth — they say they can potentially get them seven shades whiter!,

    28. A pair of water-resistant braided Plaka sandals that are equally great for the beach as they are for staying stylish during summer.

A model wearing the Plaka Sandals in Turquoise-zebra.

Over 4,200 Amazon reviewers swear by these handcrafted, rubber-soled wonders.

Promising review: "I bought these for a trip to New Orleans, which involved lots and lots of walking in high humidity. I literally got compliments on them everywhere we went, and they were so comfortable I could wear them all day. We walked miles and miles and my feet didn't hurt (which is a small miracle given that I have arthritis). They're surprisingly durable and the woven fabric is incredibly soft. Even when my feet swelled due to the heat and humidity, they were still pretty darn comfy. I highly recommend these sandals and plan to buy a few more pairs this spring." —UrbanUtah

Get them from Amazon for $29.95+ (available in sizes 5-11 and in 22 colors).

    29. A pair of reusable silicone dishwashing gloves so you can scrub away all those messes while protecting your hands.,

Promising review: "I was a bit skeptical when purchasing these gloves, but the reviews were excellent so I went ahead and bought them. I am so glad I did. I have small hands, but these gloves fit fine. Two things I really love about these gloves — water does not seep inside (a pet peeve of mine) and they are easy to get on and off repeatedly (second pet peeve is when you need to wait until the gloves dry to get your hands back in them). The gloves do an excellent job cleaning the dishes and kitchen. I have not used them to do other rooms in the house but will be purchasing another pair to tackle other cleaning jobs." —Babs

Get it from Amazon for $10.99 (available in three colors).

    30. A roll of removable Novogratz peel-and-stick wallpaper to help brighten up any room — it's the perfect nonpermanent answer to your bland-wall woes.

Promising review: "Love, love, love this wallpaper!!! It is beautiful and unique, refined and elegant, and a heavy duty quality. I found it super easy to install, though I opted to use it for a room border versus full wall coverage. I also found it very forgiving, allowing me to pull it back off and adjust areas without leaving permanent dents in the design. It gave my son’s bedroom a whole new look and I have gotten lots of compliments on this wallpaper!" —MB

    31. A very handy dishwasher-safe food saver container capable of helping your produce stay fresher for longer because it regulates the flow of oxygen and carbon dioxide.

Two food saver containers in different sizes in a fridge.

Promising review: "We bought one of these just to try them out. We live in Montana and the veggies just don't seem to last as long as they did when we lived in Arizona or Washington state. I put some baby spinach in one of the containers and nine days later the spinach literally looks as good as the day I bought it. I bought a three-pack from Amazon and just threw a bunch of mixed berries in one and broccoli in another. I am extremely happy with my purchase." —pettyolives

Promising review: "Absolutely stunning, packaged very well, and easy to stand up. I’m a TALL girl (a little over 5-foot-10) and having a mirror that was large enough for me was very important. This does exactly that, but isn’t so big that it takes up too much space. The gold trim is super classy and adds an expensive looking quality to the mirror and my room. Overall amazing and definitely worth the buy!" —Bria Million

A cat using the self-grooming cat toy.

Promising review: "I got this for my three-legged cat because he can't scratch his left side. He'll be trying to scratch and all you see is his little nub going crazy. I found this and he immediately LOVED it! The expression on his face when he first tried it was priceless. The only downside is that it's possible it'll fall off because it was hard for me to get all pieces of tape to stick on a corner at the same time, but I can always buy more double-sided tape so not a big deal to me. The product is for Floyd, not me, and he's happy so 5 stars." —Pippa Runs

    38. A colorful Novogratz x Globe power outlet complete with three or six places to plug your devices in and two USB slots — look, chances are you need these so why not get a pretty one.

The three outlet power strip in lavender.

Promising review: "I like this because it's a bit more compact than a full-size strip. Functionally no issues. Looks good. The cord is attached to the flat plug in a fixed location as in the picture. The cord is covered in a fabric sleeve that's smooth and shiny but soft and looks slightly less industrial than a standard cord. One thing that would be nice is a way to mount it, the back has nothing. Double-sided foam tape works, though it's not as permanent." —welder314
