38 Things That Made Me Think, “Why Don’t I Own That Already?”

While we all get cozy at home for the foreseeable future, here's some awesome stuff to buy.

We hope you love the products we recommend! All of them were independently selected by our editors. Just so you know, BuzzFeed may collect a share of sales or other compensation from the links on this page if you decide to shop from them. Oh, and FYI — prices are accurate and items in stock as of time of publication.

    1. A jam-packed cookbook filled with the recipes you've always wanted to try but never wanted to share, because you don't share food.

Promising review: "I have so many great things to say about this book. First of all, it's FRIENDS-themed! Obviously, for copyright reasons, it doesn't have pictures of the cast or anything. But the color scheme is on point and the text references are plenty for me to feel like I'm having a connection with the show. Second, the recipes themselves have fewer than 10 ingredients each. I can't tell you how frustrating it is to buy a recipe book and then realize that every recipe requires seven things from the store you don't have, two of which you've never heard of. The utility of this book is in the explanations of how to cook simple recipes well. It's mostly American cuisine — comforting food that's still much healthier than you'll find in a restaurant. But they're all fairly foolproof and seem easy to cook and even easier to enjoy." —Xan. Belzley

Get it from Amazon for $17.49.

    2. A bottle of Miracle Gro succulent plant food, because everyone says it's sooooo easy to keep a cactus alive — that is until you manage to get your hands on it.

Promising review: "This makes me so happy. Honestly, I had no idea how to take care of succulents and I was constantly killing them by overwatering them (RIP to all the plants in succulent heaven because of me). This is great because it gives you directions on when to water them and exactly how much to water them as well. Plus it has nutrients and whatnot! It makes me feel more comfortable giving my plants this plant food than just tap water which always has sketchy minerals in it. Will continue buying when I run out!" —dot

Get a pack of two from Amazon for $17.30.

    3. A non-greasy hair-finishing stick designed to help you deal with tiny flyaways — it uses natural plant ingredients that won't leave your hair hard or sticky and it works with all hair colors., Amazon

Promising review: "I have super fine hair with lots of breakage. No matter how I put my hair up I have bad flyaways. This stuff is great! So easy and it stays better and looks smoother than stiff hair spray." —Jill Stilfield

Get it from Amazon for $7.98.

    4. A 100% cotton boho-inspired embroidered babydoll dress — it'll quickly become a staple in your wardrobe rotation.,

Promising review: "I've worn this dress multiple times when I just need something to throw on. It is quite short so if you know you will be outside or doing a lot of sitting/standing etc wear some bike shorts under it. Overall super cute and super comfortable! I am size 16/18 US and pretty top-heavy and the 1X fits perfectly." —Bianca v

Get it from Amazon for $31+ (available in sizes S-XL and six colors).

    5. A non-toxic stainless steel soleplate cleaner kit designed specifically to clean the gunk that can manifest onto irons.

Set includes a one-ounce tube of soleplate cleaner, application cloth, polishing/finishing cloth, and instructions.

Promising review: "Amazing product! Iron was used at too high of a setting on a polyester blouse. I was able to clean it in less than 10 minutes with almost no effort. The iron is as good as new, which is more than I can say about the blouse." —RJ

Get it from Amazon for $12.99.

    6. A pretty awesome eyebrow-tinting kit formulated in a cream so it never drips and helps darken your browns in a perfectly subtle way., Amazon

Kit comes with one blending cup, reusable application brush, creme developer, and 20 pre-measured color capsules.

Promising review: "To start, I am a licensed cosmetologist. I have been for 11 years. I have had my brows tinted in the salon by the skincare girl for years. It’s a great subtle change. But I didn’t keep up with it because I left that salon. So when I saw this I had to try it. I searched through all of the options on Amazon and looked at reviews and settled on this brand. It was easy to mix, apply, and I’m glad they give you a little brush, it helps so much when applying. My biggest tip is to apply the color in a way you would shape the brow, don’t slap it on. The neater you can be the better results. I left it on about three to four minutes and it came out pretty dark, almost black. But it says that on the box, so if you want a lighter result leave it on for less time. And I love that there are 20 applications' worth!" —NJ

Get a pack of 20 in the brown from Amazon for $19.95 (also available in dark brown, light brown, and in a pack of four).

    8. A pair of oversized sunnies to have you covered from those summer rays., Amazon

Promising review: "I have thick, 4C hair and I love this set. I usually have the smaller rods at the ends of my hair and have the bigger rods at the top of my hair. My hair came out so curly. It really reminded me of the movie star curls because it has been such a long time since I have seen my hair curl without having to use heat to it. I will either use a curling cream or a curling gel and leave these rods in overnight and then I get my curls in the morning." —Marisa Fields-Williams

    12. A pack of anti-nausea ginger gum great for helping relieve that yucky feeling you get if you suffer from motion and morning sickness.

Promising review: "My wife, who's in her 60s, gets unexplained nausea almost every morning and sometimes in the afternoon. It usually passes after a half hour and it has not caused vomiting, but her doctor can't explain why it happens and his anti-emetic prescriptions (Zofran, Zantac) did not seem to make a difference. She also tried Dramamine and peppermint extract, but neither made it go away any faster. However, this ginger gum seems to work very quickly and does the trick. Just one or two gum tablets and she feels fine soon after. She now carries them with her in her purse and so far (a couple of weeks) they've worked every time. We still can't explain the nausea but at least she can deal with it." —L. Smith

    13. A tube of Vivienne Sabó Cabaret Première Mascara that features a plastic wand designed to help volumize, lengthen, and curl your lashes, without ever smudging., Amazon

Promising review: "I will never switch!!! This is by far the best mascara I’ve purchased in a long time. I used to only purchase high-end mascaras, sometimes drugstore mascaras. This is great for glam makeup, everyday makeup, and no makeup days. You will not be disappointed. I have four backups!! It’s mainly for length and extremely black. You just need one coat to see the amazing results." —KalahJ

    15. A microplane foot file to easily remove that dry cracked skin from your feet — look y'all, it's almost sandal season so let's all make a pact to not have our feet out on these streets (hopefully) without giving them a little love first.

Promising review: "This thing is pretty amazing. I was skeptical for sure, since I've tried all kinds of lotions, balms, and stone-based products, none of which helped my heels whatsoever. I've worn socks to bed for years, because if I don't the sheets hardly last a week before they have holes rubbed through them. My wife ordered this thing that looks like a mini cheese grater, lol, and after two minutes — two minutes!! — of rubbing it on my heel, it's a complete 180. I never would've believed it until I tried it myself. This is well worth double what it costs." —LBK

Get it from Amazon for $14.95.

    16. A flowy ruffled mini romper designed with a deep-V neckline, tie waist, and polka dot pattern you'll look so good in.

Promising review: "This romper is a crowd stopper. I had so many compliments while wearing this, it fits comfortably as I tend to be a bit round in my midsection. The only drawback for this romper is the top part, I'm not top-heavy, so it was nearly impossible to keep it up. I secured it with a pin the middle and no one could tell the difference. Great outfit for many occasions, I choose to wear mine to a Gin Festival here in CapeTown." —Taylordtravels

    20. An extra thick magic cleaning pad that'll erase the dirt and messes you probably thought you'd never get rid of — looks like they're moving out now!

Promising review: "I own a cleaning business and have spent a small fortune on the name brand. I clean everything from condo rentals to long term lease/residential rentals and I have had to clean unimaginable NASTY, I mean 'pics or it didn't happen' kind of nasty and these cut right through it. These work just as well as the name brand, if not better, and they seem to last a little longer!" —Keisha Marie

Get a pack of 20 from Amazon for $9.95.

    21. A super fun BTS Uno game you can use while we all practice our social distancing and our quest to learn every perfectly choreographed dance the internet has to offer.

Promising review: "I love BTS and I love UNO, so when I found these, it was a match in heaven for me. My five sons (ranging in age from 9-24) humor me and play with me, with varying degrees of enthusiasm. But it's always fun. And when we play this version, it has now become 'Jimin's got you again' or 'Jungkook skips you!' Several of my boys now have a beef with Jimin when they get hit multiple times in a row. (Hahaha!) And RM isn't exactly on their favorite list either, with the Draw Four. I'm too old to sit and drool over the pictures (heck, they are the same as my sons) but I love that I get to combine my sons and BTS into one experience. (And we changed the rule from "Dancing a BTS dance" to "Dance to a BTS song in any manner you find acceptable"... since none of us can really dance at all.)" —M. Miller

Get it from Amazon for $6.99.

    22. A 5-in-one aerator, pour, wine filter, and leak-proof bottle stopper that'll create a leak-proof seal so your favorite beverage stays fresh and in the bottle — assuming, of course, you have anything left in the bottle to store.

Promising review: "I wouldn't consider myself a 'wine connoisseur' by any means, but I typically have a bottle or so, float through my house each week. This wine corker takes the hassle out of pulling the original cork out, it is easy to clean, makes the wine taste better, and hello it's five bucks! It would make a GREAT cheap gift for a wine drinker. At the moment, I only have the one, but I'm planning to grab a few more to keep on-hand. :)" —jason lebeda

Promising review: "I was very skeptical about these portable facial and body hair removers but I have blonde fuzz on my face that has always bothered me. I have tried waxing and threading that typically leave my skin irritated. I have used this multiple times in my face, arms, and legs, and I am extremely amazed. No pain and it got rid of all the fuzz in minutes. I used moisturizer afterward and had zero irritation. I have also used the nose hair trimmer piece and got great results. Highly recommended!" —Customer Services

Get it from Amazon for $12.99 (available in white and pink).

    25. A pack of natural, non-habit forming sleep aids formulated using pure herbs and proven amino acids to help optimize your sleep.

Promising review: "I have tried every sleep aid out there that you can think of and nothing has ever worked as well for me as this product. Most of the products out there are loaded with melatonin. Yes, melatonin makes you fall asleep fast and all that good stuff but it can really screw up your sleep patterns and your body can become dependent on it to fall asleep. This product has half a gram of melatonin. L-Glycine is also super legit for better sleep. I'm kind of a supplement nerd so I like to look up all the ingredients and required clinical doses. This is perfectly dosed and better quality of sleep. It's one thing to fall asleep fast but it's another thing to stay asleep and get the quality rem sleep that you need to wake up refreshed. This product delivers in that aspect. They also put in a nice bonus, especially for me who drinks a lot of coffee throughout the day. It's Rutaecarpine, this ingredient speeds up the metabolism of caffeine to remove quicker from your body. I feel like a new man with way better sleep. I'd definitely say this is a premium product that is a little pricer than others but it gets the job done so what else can you ask from it?" —Aaron Rodgers

Promising review: "I was using PAM, or similar, and it worked okay for cooking, but it was a pain for clean up. I had seen other oil misters with pump-action, but many reviews said that they would break in a few months, or leaked and just had problems. Then I stumbled upon these EVO sprayers. They are perfect. The broad spray coats nicely and evenly. it sprays oil on food as well. It is super easy to fill, to clean, to use. I love it. I bought the two-pack so I could have vegetable oil and olive oil available by my stove. It is so convenient. There are no clogs, no leaks, no problems. Promising review: "I am a female in my mid-20s and recently experienced severe shedding (I did not experience any clumps). There are a lot of things that could have contributed to my hair shedding: moving, grad school, stopping the pill, or a recent semi-serious illness. I’m not exactly sure what the cause of it was, but I can say that when I tried this shampoo the shedding almost immediately stopped. If you are experiencing temporary hair shedding and want a preventative measure, I would definitely recommend this shampoo. I am a huge fan and grateful that I found a product that worked for me. The 'before' and 'after' photos were taken about a week apart from each other. The 'after' photo is from the first time I used this shampoo." —lauren
