10 High-End Beauty Products To Have In Your Arsenal

Your wallet will cry but TREAT YO'SELF

Posted on

1. Morphe Brushes

These are the foundation of great makeup. You can own the best products in the beauty industry- but none of them are going to look good if you're using the wrong brushes. I had to learn the hard way through years of foundation that resembled cake. Morphe won't break your bank but stock up on these bad boys. The quality is gorgeous- you'll fall in love. My favorites for face are: G22 for foundation, G30 for blending out that contour, and E3 for under-eye powder (THIS IS SO SOFT) Pick up a few eyeshadow brushes- flat for packing color, a crease brush, and a blending brush are your staples.

Most brushes are 7-20$ and can be found at MorpheBrushes online

2. A Multi-Use Palette

Tarte Cosmetics / Via

This is my current favorite palette (coming from someone who also owns Naked) and it is SO gorgeous (how many times can I say that) I cannot rave enough about this. The packaging is beautiful- almost watercolor-esque. The quality of the shadows are very smooth and blendable (not to mention they smell like cocoa) It focuses on more warm tones with an emphasis on a brown/burgundy theme. I'm in love with the shade "Leader"- bottom row, right corner. My Way to Wear: Pair Charmer all over the lid blending Jetsetter into the outer corner with Leader in the crease.

Tartlette in Bloom is 45$ on Sephora

3. A Bomb Liquid Lipstick

Get with this craze. They're pigmented as hell and so creamy smooth. Some are matte, some are demi- where do you even start?! I promise once you buy one, you'll be hooked. With liquid lipstick, you can create super sharp edges that resist feathering (god bless) Just watch out for transfer on your Starbucks cup lid- we all know you're probably holding one or thinking about the next time you will.

Too Faced Melted Liquified Long-Wear Lipstick in Fig is 21$ at Sephora

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Androgyny is 18$ at JeffreeStar Cosmetics

4. Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade

Anastasia Beverly Hills / Via

Eyebrows are life, eyebrows are love. RT if you agree. Really though, if you got unlucky with sparse brows like me, this will be a life saver. In the day & age where every other person is posting about their brow goals, don't you want to get in on the trend?! This isn't waxy and it's really easy to apply with their angled brush/spoolie that pairs with it. I'm sure you've already heard of this legendary product. Save up your mula to buy this so you won't have to cry yourself to sleep after seeing someone with perfectly threaded ones.

Anastia Dipbrow Pomade is 18$ at Sephora The brush is also 18$ at Sephora

5. Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer

xSparkage / Via

That's a mouthful. This concealer has changed my college life. Say goodbye to those awful under eye bags that screamed out "YES I HAVE BEEN IN THE LIBRARY FOR 6 HOURS!" This is super full coverage but doesn't look cakey- it literally just looks like your skin (maybe that's why it's NAKED- ha-see get it?) This will forever be a repurchase of mine and probably the only concealer I will use.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer is 28$ at Sephora

6. Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop

JuliasAllure / Via

Even if you're not into the trend of strobing (no it's not the newest party drug- at least, I don't think so) everyone still needs a nice highlight to give that "I'm-didn't-just-get-married-but-I-look-like-I-did" glow. This particular one was collaborated with Jaclyn Hill- a Youtuber- and if you aren't watching her YOU NEED TO- she is beyond gorgeous. Because she's a consumer- she knows what we're looking for and boy did she get it 100% right with this product. You'll be even sparklier than the ring that's NOT on your finger. (I mean if it is, good for you- that's great)

Champagne Pop is 38$ at Sephora

7. Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit

Cult Beauty / Via

Everything is about contour nowadays. There are tons of cheaper alternatives to achieve the perfect depth but if you feel like splurging a bit- this kit has gotten so much hype. The perk to this is that you can combine the colors to find the perfect combo for your skin color. Plus, the formula is so creamy and easy to apply with a range of brushes. Anastasia is already famous for her impeccable brow techniques- it makes sense she's mastered yet another beauty trend.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit is 40$ at Sephora

8. Skin Specific Face Primer

Benefit San Francisco / Via

Primer helps your face makeup last all day- which is important because who wants patchy foundation?! Finding the right primer for your skin type is key- whether you're oily or dry- primer will change your foundation's lifespan. For me, being on the combo side with my problem areas being my pores- this works miracles. This primer makes my skin SO smooth and fills in my pores naturally. It feels like pearls when you smooth it over- that's the best description I can possibly give. Spend time shopping around and reading reviews on a more "high-end" primer, your face will thank you.

Benefit Cosmetics POREfessional Face Primer is 31$ at Sephora

9. Customizable Eyeshadow Quad

KateLauren / Via

This was actually my first ever high end purchase! Customizable quads are awesome for exactly that- you can pick out what YOU want, so you don't have to purchase an entire palette for a the few killer shades you're into. MAC obviously has quality shadows and they're quads are convenient because you can easily switch out shadows if you want to create a specific color combo. It's just a gift that keeps on giving because it makes you want to purchase even more singles!! (That's how that works, right?) Sketch and Woodwinked were two of my first single shades and still two of my faves.

MAC Pro Palette Eye Shadow x 4 (the quad case itself) is 8$ on

MAC Shadow Singles are generally 10$ also at

10. Lush Lip Scrub

LUSH Cosmetics / Via

This last one is a double bonus because it tastes DELICIOUS and is definitely not as expensive at the above products, even though it's something that's overlooked quite often. In order to get your lips looking' luscious as hell and also keep your lipstick from doing that crease thing we all hate- you know, getting caught on extra skin. It'll make even the highest class lipstick look like trash. FEAR NOT, lip exfoliators are here to the rescue. Just smooth on before application, and rub those lips until you feel the sugar start to almost melt a bit. Then here's the best part- just lick it off. Seriously. Eat it. All of the flavors of this particular type are yummy but my fav is Mint Julips. Honestly, it tastes like chocolate and mint- and also makes me want a Mint Julip- use at your own risk.

LUSH Lip Scrubs are 10$ at Lush
