The artists are currently involved in a TV contest called "Operación Triunfo" which has been really popular in the past few months. They started as 16 contestants and now we are down to 5.

This song is an edit of the original one which was written for 16 people. It didn't get much support, being the least voted song.
The next song, performed by Aitana, was "Arde".

I strongly recommend listening to the lyrics since it touches subjects such as the refugee crisis. This song was the second favourite song of the night.
The first duo of the night was "Magia" by Miriam and Agoney.

In case you're wondering about his outfit, it belongs to a campaign called "La mujer que llevo fuera", which tries to raise awareness about sexism.
Aitana and Ana performed "Lo malo".

This song has a feminist message which you don't usually see in this genre of music and it has also made my gay ass even gayer. I expect to listen to it all over the radio in no time.
Amaia, everyone's favourite contestant, sang "Al Cantar"

This song didn't get many votes but many people agree that her voice is one of the best of the contest.

She has one of the most poweful and versatile voices of the edition and she has proven it many times before.

Both this song and "Lo malo" are the most different songs of the night since they have a more latino vibe to it. Eurovision is a long show so maybe a slow ballad it's not always the best choice.

Okay they are cute but like... People from all over the world watch Eurovision and if I didn't know them or understood what they're saying... I would probably choose this performance to go pee.
And the winner is... "Tu canción" by Amaia and Alfred.
Amaia and Alfred, who are currently in a relationship, won last night and... there are different opinions. The song is beautiful and they are great singers for sure but there are so many romantic ballads already in Eurovision that it's hard to stand out.
