Response to 25 Things That Happen When You’re Single:
Minimum orders for delivery on take aways are the worst kind of discrimination. The kind that affects me.
Response to This Is What It’s Like To Watch “Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire” For The First Time:
I am a senior support worker in a private dementia care home. Thankfully I have never witnessed behaviour like this in my current place of work, but whilst support work is an underpaid, undervalued and unqualified role this will continue. Currently we put our parents, grandparents and friends in the hands of people paid £6.80 an hour and whose only qualification is maybe an NVQ2 (which makes a mockery of professional qualifications). Caring for people is a professional, highly skilled role and requires talented staff. Organisations like this are not going to recruit or retain those kind of staff members for the current salary and conditions care workers work under.
