Taylor Swift And Kim Kardashian West Have Liked Some Revealing Posts Since That "Famous" Phone Call Leaked In Full

"And that is how you let karma take care of itself."

In case you missed it, we all went back in time to 2016 this weekend when that in-"Famous" (lol) phone call between Kanye West and Taylor Swift mysteriously leaked in its entirety.

If you cast your mind back, you'll remember that the original clips of the video that Kim Kardashian West posted on Snapchat showed Kanye telling Taylor about the lyric in "Famous" where he said he and Taylor "might still have sex".

What it ~didn't~ show was Kanye telling her about the line "I made that bitch famous". However, Taylor did seem to reference it during one of the later clips, which would suggest there were parts of the conversation we didn't get to see.

As it turns out, that is an understatement — the leaked video showing the longer conversation is a whole 25 minutes.

As for Taylor, she's always maintained that the part of the song she had no idea about was Kanye referring to her as "that bitch". She also said that while Kanye promised to play her the song before it was released, he never actually did.

In fact, the full leaked video shows Taylor telling Kanye she was relieved after he told her the line, because she expected him to call her a "stupid, dumb bitch".

Later in the phone call, when Kanye tells Taylor about that part of the line, he says: "What if later in the song, I was also to have said, 'I made her famous'?"

To which she replies: "Oh my god. Well, what am I going to do about it? It's just kinda like, whatever, at this point. But I mean, you’ve got to tell the story the way that it happened to you and the way that you’ve experienced it. Like, you honestly didn’t know who I was before that."

While the basics of the phone call were all there to begin with, a lot of people think the full version proves Taylor was telling the truth the entire time.

So in other news ... the entire phone call between Kanye West & Taylor Swift leaked. Turns out she was telling the truth the whole time and he’s the snake instead of her💀💀💀

so basically, kanye didn't tell the whole truth of how he's gonna drag taylor — then kim had the conversation edited to make it look like taylor was lying and made everyone cancel taylor swit for years. WHACK. yall should feel bad about yourselves.

Taylor told the truth and always has. You should believe women, especially when a man like Kanye has consistently tried including her in a narrative she never asked to be a part of, just to tear her down. #KanyeWestIsOverParty

Of course, neither Taylor nor Kim has publicly referenced the reemergence of the drama. But as celebrities tend to do, they have been liking some pretty revealing posts on their social media accounts — and we're here to analyse them all.

    E!

First up, we have Taylor's Tumblr likes, which include a fair few Swifties celebrating the fact that they've maintained that Taylor was telling the truth the entire time.

There are also some references to karma...

And a screenshot of the BuzzFeed headline saying everyone owes Taylor an apology. (Hi, Taylor!)

But what's most revealing is that she liked this post — which was originally published in 2017 — calling out Kanye for commissioning a nude wax figure of Taylor and filming himself sleeping next to it in the music video for "Famous".

Meanwhile, Kim hopped on Twitter to like just one thing — this tweet saying the full-length video "showed nothing new", and that the user was "confused" by the public reaction.

The video showed nothing new. We all knew that. I’m so confused right now

It may be true that we've always known the main elements of the story. Kanye said he told Taylor about the lyrics, and Taylor said she didn't know he'd call her "that bitch", and the 25-minute version of the video proves both of those things to be true.

But the leaked video definitely gives us some new information.

For example, the original clips didn't show Kanye telling Taylor that Kim wasn't a fan of the "me and Taylor might still have sex" line, and actually encouraged him to change it to "I feel like Taylor Swift might owe me sex".

But now we know all the details with the context of the full conversation — and if you have the time while you're social-distancing, I strongly recommend you get the full story yourself by watching the whole thing.
