In June, Taylor Swift dropped the second single from her album Lover. It was called "You Need To Calm Down", and it was a bop of the highest order.
The song went on to win Video of the Year at the MTV VMAs, but before that, Taylor threw a party to celebrate her nominations and all the people who helped make it happen.
It's safe to say Taylor had fun at the party, if the other guests' Instagram stories were anything to go by.

And screenshots of Taylor dancing quickly became a meme, with "Drunk Taylor" trending worldwide on Twitter.

She even acknowledged the meme in her Instagram caption. Honestly, it was all just a great time.
Well, during an appearance on the Tonight Show on Thursday, Taylor explained exactly what happened on the night the meme was created, and it's just made the whole thing even more relatable, TBH.
"I was at a party, like a couple of months ago, and I had like two and a half mojitos and the next day #DrunkTaylor was number one trending on Twitter," she said.
And then Taylor said possibly the most relatable thing of her entire career, which is saying a lot because she's been making highly relatable music for the last 13 years.
She explained: "I go from zero to legitimately thinking I'm a wizard within like two drinks."
She went on to say that she's concerned the Drunk Taylor phenomenon will be overtaken by the video of a post-surgery Taylor crying over a banana, which is a whole different story.
And I'm sorry to report this Taylor, but I think it already has.
One night, he wakes strange look, on his face. Pauses. Then says... "I'm not asleep, my mind is alive"
