Louis Tomlinson Opened Up About That Animated Harry Styles Sex Scene In "Euphoria"

"I’m not going to lie, I was pissed off. It annoyed me that a big company would get behind it."

Louis Tomlinson is set to release his first solo album next year after One Direction went on hiatus in 2015.

The musician recently sat down with the Guardian to give a candid interview, and spoke about his time since leaving the band, his relationships with the other members, and the possibility of eventually getting back together.

"We've had these experiences that no one else can relate to," Tomlinson said of his fellow bandmates, adding that he believes they'll get back together one day.

He was also asked about his friendship with Harry Styles — in particular, the longstanding (and repeatedly disputed) fandom rumour that they were in a romantic relationship — but hesitated to answer, saying he didn't want to "add fuel to the fire" by talking about it.

The rumours came to light again in July, when HBO's Euphoria aired an episode about fanfiction which included an animated sex scene between Tomlinson and Styles.

The episode caused controversy within the fandom at the time, particularly after Tomlinson tweeted that HBO had never contacted him or his team to approve the use of his name and image.

@backtoyoulouis I can categorically say that I was not contacted nor did I approve it.

Many fans said they were "uncomfortable" with the episode, pointing out that the "Larry Stylinson" rumours had affected Tomlinson and Styles' friendship during their time in the band.

In a 2017 interview with the Sun, Tomlinson said the rumours "made everything, I think on both fences, a little bit more unapproachable" between the two of them.

Now, speaking to the Guardian, Tomlinson says he's "tired" of the rumours constantly being brought back up.

"I know, culturally, it’s interesting, but I’m just a bit tired of it," he said, admitting that the explicit animated scene in Euphoria had "pissed [him] off".
