J.K. Rowling Had The Best Words Of Wisdom For Us All This Election Day

    "We stand together. We stick up for the vulnerable. We challenge bigots. We don't let hate speech become normalised. We hold the line."

    I have literally no idea how you could have, but if you missed it, Donald Trump was just elected president of the United States.

    Of course, everyone reacted in their own way, but it's safe to say that a lot of people weren't particularly happy about it.

    Women, Muslims, LGBT people, and people with disabilities have all been vocal about their horror at the prospect of a Trump presidency.

    Throughout the whole affair, though, J.K. Rowling was tweeting words of wisdom for everyone who was less than impressed with the result.

    People called her pasty and told her to shut up, and she was basically just like, "nah".

    And when people told her not to respond to the trolls, and not to give them the attention they crave, she had the perfect comeback to that, too.

    "The easy thing is to keep your head down," she wrote. "The right thing to do is to challenge racism, misogyny, and hatred."

    And when someone asked her how to move forward and challenge the bullies, she knew exactly what to say.

    And, of course, we couldn't have made it through the night without a healthy dose of J.K. Rowling's razor-sharp sass.
