19 Things You'll Only Understand If You're A "Hamilton" Fan Who Hasn't Seen "Hamilton"
I'M NOT THROWING AWAY MY SHOT (to get Hamilton tickets).
So, you listened to the original cast recording of Hamilton: An American Musical, and your life has been changed forever.
There's just one problem: You live too far away/you don't have the money/you live too far away and don't have the money to see it.
And even if you do live close enough to get there, and you do have the money for tickets, it's always goddamn sold out.
If you haven't entered the ticket lottery by now, you're more than familiar with the process so you can enter as soon as you set foot in New York.
And you literally dream of winning and sitting on the front row.
You've watched every possible version of #Ham4Ham on YouTube...
And, if you live in or around New York City, you've probably made your way to the theatre to watch it live.
You're sick and tired of seeing your favourite celebrities post photos with their goddamn Playbills.
Seriously. It's like they're rubbing it in.
We get it – you have the money and the connections to see Hamilton.
And don't even get me started on the Obamas. What I wouldn't give to have the cast of Hamilton perform in my house.
Your friends are all starting to get sick of you, because basically everything you say starts with, "It's like in Hamilton when..."
Or they can't talk to you at all because you're too busy listening to Hamilton to hear them.
But you don't care, because you have a new definition of #SquadGoals.
You've listened to it so much at this point that you know all of the lyrics by heart, and you can even rap along to "Guns and Ships".
In fact, you're pretty sure you could make a career as a historian at this point, because even if you've never studied the American Revolution, there's nothing you know better.
And you often find yourself on some questionable Wikipedia page at 2am.
Some people say that your obsession is a little bit – ah – intense.
But you don't care. Because when your time comes to get a ticket to Hamilton, one thing's for sure:
