We asked members from the BuzzFeed Community about some of their ~unpopular~ love triangle opinions. Here are some of the couples we wished we got instead of the ones we did.

1. Blair, Dan, and Chuck from Gossip Girl

The CW

Dan and Blair [should have ended up together]. They have witty banter with lots of classical movie references. They aren’t afraid to knock each other down peg and comfort each other when needed. Even Blair said it: Dan protects her from her worst instincts. They’re healthy together.

2. Rachel, Joey, and Ross from Friends

Let’s be real, Rachel should have 100% ended up with Joey. Ross is a tool and Rachel deserves so much better. Joey genuinely cared about her, not the idealized version of her Ross had in his head. Joey cared about her enough to not push his feelings on her or expect anything out of her. He was there for her with Emma and loved Emma like a father should (far better than Ross with EITHER of his children). When Rachel moved in with Joey for the first time in Season 6, she had so much fun, and, overall, she was much more carefree and lighthearted around Joey throughout the whole series.

3. Jane, Rafael, and Michael from Jane The Virgin

The CW

This is a super unpopular one, but I really prefer Jane with Rafael over Michael in Jane The Virgin and always have. Maybe it's because of the foreshadowing for Michael's death, or because I'm not usually a fan of already established relationships on shows, or because I found Michael to be unsupportive and kind of an ass. Jane and Rafael have such good chemistry, I find it hard not to root for them.

4. Elena, Stefan, and Damon from The Vampire Diaries

The CW

Everyone seems to love Damon, and I like his character, but he and Elena were NOT a good match. Their relationship was so annoying, and Stefan, although he had his issues, was kind, stable, and loving. He had this quiet intensity, and their love felt so real and grounded to me. He treated her so well, and they were a solid couple.

5. Joey, Dawson, and Pacey from Dawson's Creek

Obviously Dawson and Joey not only belonged together but they deserved each other because they were both awful. Pacey could have done so much better.

Monica should have married Richard. He brought out the best in her. Being with Chandler turned her into an obnoxious [person] because he was such a child.

How did Katniss choose Peeta over Gale?? In both the books and the films, Katniss and Gale had much more chemistry and he was by far the better choice. That ending kinda ruined the whole series for me.

In the Spencer/Caleb/Hanna love triangle on Pretty Little Liars, I'm partial to shipping Spencer and Caleb! I thought the show did a great job at showing how they would develop to the point that they'd be a great match, and they had the hottest sex scene on television maybe ever.

12. Buffy, Spike, and Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer

The WB

Spike is better for Buffy than Angel. There I said it. Angel was a creepy guy Buffy was into as a teenager but he constantly left her and hurt her. Spike, however, had amazing character development and went from being a villain to saving the world for Buffy, and loved her with and without a soul. Everyone always loves Angel, but Buffy deserves better, AKA Spike.

13. Andie, Duckie, and Blane from Pretty in Pink

Duckie was so in love with Andie, and he was cute, funny, and understood her. But she goes to prom with boring old Blane. I know that Andrew McCarthy is cute, but Jon Cryer was something special.

14. Lucas, Brooke, and Peyton from One Tree Hill

The WB

Brooke should have ended up with Lucas. Their chemistry was amazing and he brought out the best in her. Peyton was a back-stabbing, awful friend where Lucas was concerned. I loved her with Jake though. She was so much softer with him.

Jeff and Britta just made sense. A lot of it was just physical with them, but they also had a level of comfort nobody else in the group had. They were equally selfish, vain, and flaky, had similar family issues and could bicker like crazy. They were completely themselves with each other, and they didn't have to try to be different people to be comfortable together.
