Gwyneth Paltrow Finally Opened Up About Why She's Quit Acting Once And For All

    "I really burned myself out."

    This is Gwyneth Paltrow.

In case you forgot, this queen of Goop has also starred in some pretty iconic roles!

Well, in this month's issue of Harper's Bazaar, Gwyneth confirmed a fear that all of us have had for a long time: She's quit acting "FOR GOOD."

    A moment of silence, please.

In her interview with Harper's Bazaar, Gwyneth opened up about how difficult it was to keep up with her busy schedule while pregnant with her first child.

"The last movie I starred in, I was pregnant with my daughter. It was a movie called Proof, an adaptation of a play I did in London, and I was like, 'I’ve had it. I can't do this anymore.'"

"I had morning sickness and I was dying, and I had these five-page monologues. So when I had her, I knew I was going to take a big chunk of time off."

"And I've never starred in anything again."

When asked if she thought the "acting bug" was ever going to come back, Gwyneth was quite candid about it not:

Literally never — nev-er. When I was acting, I really burned myself out. When the flywheel kicked in, I was doing three to five movies a year. I really got to the point where even the little things, like sitting in the van going to set, getting your makeup touch-ups, and everything — I really don’t know that I can bear it.

I'm sad that Gwyneth won't be the leading lady on my screen anymore, but am glad that she's found happiness in what she's doing now.
