People Are Sharing The Villains Who Made Them Say "Screw The Hero, I'm With This Guy"
Justice for my guy Javert!
Ever watch a movie with a hero and a villain and stuff, and you KNOW you're supposed to be rooting for the good guy...but instead you're rooting for the bad guy?
Well, recently Reddit user
dr_acula_boo posed this query to the users of the site: "Which was the movie villain, evil character, or monster that made you say, 'F*ck the hero, I'm with the bad guy?'" I'm not gonna lie, some valid points were made.
Here are some of the best responses:
The Grinch from
How the Grinch Stole Christmas:
"The townsfolk of Whoville were prejudice and drove the Grinch into isolation. Bullies are not made in a vacuum!"

Once Upon a Time:
"He was smart, tricky, beautifully manipulative, and had a solid backstory that justified almost all of his actions."
Shere Khan from
The Jungle Book:
"He wanted to murder Mowgli because he was afraid that Mowgli would burn the jungle down. Mowgli then proceeded to burn the jungle down."
The Wicked Witch from
The Wizard of Oz:
"We hate her because she looks a bit gothy. But ditzy Dorothy killed her sister and went on to meddle in stuff that was none of her business. I’d be annoyed, too."
Roy Batty from
"There may have been blood on his hands, but Batty only went for those directly involved with the Replicants or that were pursuing him. At the end of the day, he was just looking for answers from his creator."
"I mean, he lives next to and works with — no offense — one of the most annoying creatures in the sea. I'd be a curmudgeon, too."

20th Century Fox
"Xavier and Magneto both have the same motives, but their life experiences drive them to completely opposite means to achieve those ends."
Tom & Jerry:
King Kong from
"Dude's minding his own business, living on a tropical island, and men show up, capture, and enslave him. Fuckers deserved everything they got."
Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz from
Phineas and Ferb:
"He had a rough childhood, he is a great dad to Vanessa, and he never gives up, even when his Inators blow up. Dr. Doofenshmirtz is a good character."
Sharpay Evans from High School Musical:
"They deserved better than to get upstaged by Troy and Gabriella."
"He offered all his friends, struggling bohemians in NYC, free rent in exchange for canceling Maureen's protest."
Darth Vadar from
Doctor Octopus from
Sony Pictures / Marvel Studios
"I think Doc Ock is pretty sympathetic. He's a genius who wants to use his innovation to help people, but Oscorp just uses him as a moneymaker until he snaps."
Principal Rooney from
Ferris Bueller's Day Off:
Gellert Grindelwald from
Fantasic Beasts and Where to Find Them:
"Honestly, he has some solid points about how much muggles suck."
Finally, Javert from
Les Misérables :
"Javert's unwavering belief in upholding the law is the driving force behind his actions throughout the entirety of the movie. In Javert's eyes, Jean Valjean is a criminal for breaking his parole and it is his duty to bring all criminals to justice. I can get on board with that."
