Daniel Radcliffe Revealed Some BTS Tidbits About "Harry Potter," And I'm Shaking In My Cloak

No wonder Harry gagged while eating the gillyweed...

Earlier this week, Daniel Radcliffe joined Sean Evans on my fave digital series, Hot Ones. Now, Danny boy spent a LOT of time discussing his paparazzi-evading techniques, his love for the New York Jets, and his most recent project, Escape from Pretoria. But Sean did us ALL a favor and carved out a few minutes to ask Daniel some fun queries about his time on Harry Potter that got some never-before-heard responses from him! Here's everything we learned:

1. Harry Potter — both the character and the series — has been the inspiration for many rap lyrics, and Daniel revealed that the one by CupcakKe is his favorite:

2. The banquets in the Great Hall and feasts at Hogwarts were always Daniel's favorite food moment from the series — specifically when they eat breakfast:

3. The gillyweed that Harry had to eat in The Goblet of Fire was Daniel's least favorite food moment:

4. The aforementioned gillyweed — which Harry ate to grow gills and accomplish the second task in the TriWizard cup — was actually made of black licorice:

5. Contrary to popular belief, Daniel did NOT go through over a hundred pairs of Harry's iconic glasses:

6. Daniel DID, however, go through quite a few wands. His wand would have to be replaced every three to four weeks because he would always drum it on his knee:

7. During the transfiguration class in Chamber of Secrets, there were upwards of 60 live animals in the classroom:

8. While shooting, a monkey started jerking off "relentlessly" in its cage:

9. But my absolute fave tidbit that Daniel revealed? Apparently Rupert Grint — who played Ron — got peed on by a bat:

Wow, as a huge fan of Harry Potter, this was so cool to learn about. Now I wonder what other unknown facts are still lingering in the noggins of these wizards...

If you wanna hear Daniel talk about a SLEW of other topics — and pound back some super hot chicken wings, to boot — be sure to catch his Hot Ones interview with Sean Evans:
