In Latin America And The Caribbean, Teens Are Writing Heartbreaking Letters To Their HIV

Each chilling letter will bring you closer and closer to how it feels to be HIV positive.

Teens at Jóvenes Positivos (Positive Young People) have taken to Facebook to express personal letters they've written to their HIV disease.

Some are filled with hope, some are filled with sadness, and all are reminders that HIV positivity is no longer a death sentence.

Dear HIV, I don't know if we'll share the rest of our lives together yet, but if we do, don't make me suffer too much because love is sufficient enough.

Dear HIV,

I don't know if we'll share the rest of our lives together yet, but if we do, don't make me suffer too much because love is sufficient enough.

Dear HIV, I wanted to tell you to keep resting and to not wake up to expand to more people and to young people who want to continue living with their loves. Sleep in peace.

Dear HIV, I don't deny the fact that when you arrived I felt like all my dreams had ended, but now I realize I have nothing to fear, thanks to my control over you. When you're with me I'm strong and you're nothing without me.
