This Kangaroo Isn't Trying To Cool Off

It's trying to lure you to your death. Stay away from ocean bound marsupials, kids.

This image has been around for a long time. So long in fact, the Internet can't quite seem to pin it down (though if your GoogleFu is better than mine, by all means leave its origin in the comments!).

A quick reverse image search shows the sequence first showed up around 2006 on forums such as this one but circa 2006 might as well be the Online Stone Ages.

However, it surfaced once more on Reddit today, again raising the age-old conundrum, "What the hell is that kangaroo doing?"

Luckily user Moongrazer was able to discern this marsupial's sinister intent.

    From Nature:

As a defensive tactic, a larger kangaroo will often lead its pursuer into water where, standing submerged to the chest, the kangaroo will attempt to drown the attacker under water.

In other words, we're witnessing an attempt by this kangaroo to trick the photographer into deep water so it can MURDER him.

    Aren't kangaroos adorable?
