What this article points out without saying it directly is, many parents and schools are not teaching the basics of living. Many of us “older folk” took home economics and/or shop and dancing was part of phys ed in school and were expected to help out around the house with cleaning and repairing and other chores. Today, those classes are gone due to school budget cuts and kids have scheduled activities that keep them out of the house or they are doing homework or playing.
Speaking of vanishing culture, live music in public places and/or at weddings, parties, etc. When was the last time you went to a reception and there were actual musicians (not a DJ) playing?
