Walter Bruce Willis (born March 19, 1955) is an American actor, producer, and singer. His career began in television in the 1980s, most notably as David Addison in Moonlighting (1985—89) and has continued both in television and film since, including comedic, dramatic, and action roles. Probably best known for his role of John McClane in the Die Hard series, which were mostly critical and uniformly financial successes.
The 86th Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), will honor the best films of 2013 and take place March 2, 2014, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The ceremony will be scheduled well after its usual late-February date to avoid conflicting with the 2014 Winter Olympics.
