OK, so if you watched Season 8, Episode 2 of Game of Thrones last night, you know that everyone at Winterfell is gearing up for a battle with the White Walkers and their army of wights. Preparations are being made, hookups are happening, the works.
But there's one detail about the battle prep that keeps coming up: the fact that women and children are going to be staying in the Winterfell crypts, where it's "safe."

And even Sam says it:
And because Game of Thrones has already given us seven seasons' worth of major trust issues...this repeated detail set off a LOT of people's spidey senses:

Because ICYMI, a crypt is a place where you literally store dead bodies over, like...centuries...

And we're already dealing with a bit of a fighting-dead-people situation...
Sooo... who is gonna break it to Jon and crew that the *crypt* is not exactly the safest place to be when youβve got a literal Zombie King coming to knock down your door. ππ¬π #GameOfThrones
Which includes a Night King who we've SEEN turn dead people into more wights!!!!
#GameofThrones Soo everyone's going to hide in the crypt with all the dead Starks while an army who can raise the dead approaches and no one forsees a problem with that? We are so getting White Walker Ned.
Sooooooooo it looks like we're in for some serious zombie trouble in the next episode...

In closing: Winterfell, and I can't emphasize this enough, is screwed.

The upcoming battle is with the White Walkers and their army of wights. A previous version of this stated that everyone would just be fighting the White Walkers without making a distinction between them (the ones actually created by the Children of the Forest, who ride horses and ~control~ the wights) and wights (basic reanimated corpses brought to life). Scary but important difference!
