Eating at a Sushi train either late or early. Late and some of those plates have been going around for hours. Then they pack them up and put them out again the next day. Latish lunch or mid-dinner is probably the freshest it's going to be.

The rest look good, but the pots in #1 do look pretty bad. Get rid of the pots and tidy it up around the edges and I'm sure fewer people would complain.

one of the reason I stopped following AITA on reddit is because the number of people treating teenagers like little kids and defending it used to piss me off. Or defend child like behavior in teenagers because "they are still children".
