When Noelle was 3, her mom had breast cancer

“It is so important to empower girls and young women when it comes to their breast health, body health and community engagement,” says Maimah. “ We each have a responsibility to give of ourselves – for the simple fact that we are alive. As Miriam Rice Edelman once said: ‘service is the price we pay for living’.”

Tired of settling for bake sales, at 6 Noelle had an idea

She came up with the idea for a fundraiser and called it "Pajama Glam"

Maimah made Noelle wait until last year to throw her event. Which was a HUGE success in DC

What is Pajama Glam?

A night of dancing, pajamas (duh), bling, pink, goodies and vital education

It's designed to be a great way to start the conversation with young ladies on taking care of their bodies and being their own best advocates

“I wanted to do something different,” says Noelle. “It’s something moms and daughters can enjoy together. It’s supposed to be fun, but it also means something.”
