Just so you know, BuzzFeed may collect a share of sales or other compensation from the links on this page if you decide to shop from them. Oh, and FYI — prices are accurate and items in stock as of time of publication.

    1. A pack of Sticky Stakes that'll FINALLY trap the flies and gnats that have been living rent-free in your home ever since you bought your first houseplant.

BuzzFeed editor Heather Braga swears by these. In her own words:

"There is NOTHING more irritating than gnats or any other tiny insects invading your home. I have these Sticky Stakes in every potted plant I own and they actually really work! Each pack comes with seven traps, so feel free to stock up."

Get a pack of seven from Amazon for $6.99.

    2. A pack of microwavable bowl huggers so you can safely pull piping hot bowls out of the microwave without burning your hands. They'll also absorb minor spillage from too-full bowls as you make the treacherous journey from kitchen to couch.

A pair of hands holding a bowl that's resting in the red bowl hugger

These bowl huggers are machine-washable for easy cleaning!

Promising review: "I use this for my soup bowls very often. My hubby and I often eat our dinner by the TV and I make a lot of homemade soups and stews that he loves. These little 'bowl Huggers' make it easy to sit with your soup on your lap, they keep the soup hotter, and they keep the bowl from burning your legs. Cozy!!" —badputter

    Get a four-pack from Amazon for $10.99.

    3. A gluten- and cruelty-free lengthening mascara if you're tired of getting excited about mascaras that never live up to their promises. This one is different — or at least according to the 13,600+ 5-star reviews.,

Promising review: "After using Lights, Camera, Lashes by Tarte for the past year, I got tired of breaking the bank over mascara. My sister suggested Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect and I IMMEDIATELY fell in love. It provides dramatic length and great volume. I can honestly say I can’t stop looking at my eyelashes in the mirror every single day because of how awesome they look. Also, it is very long wearing. I go from an eight-hour work day right to the gym and sweat like crazy...and this stuff doesn’t budge! I love it!!" —Carrie E Miller

Get it from Amazon for $4.99.

    4. A jewelry cleaning pen to return cloudy gems to their former, out-of-the-box glory without shelling out the big bucks for a professional cleaning.

Promising review: "I’ve worn my engagement ring daily for just shy of five years. During that time, I’ve had it professionally cleaned when I get the prongs checked (annually) and I’ve used an ultrasonic cleaning device and a soft-bristle makeup brush with Dawn dish soap to clean my ring. None of those methods restored its original sparkle, but they helped. I figured that if even a professional cleaning couldn’t get rid of all the dust and grime in the setting around the stone, nothing really could. Enter the Diamond Dazzle stick. I spent about three minutes using this product on my ring the day my pen arrived, and I was stunned by the results. My ring sparkles like the day I received it. The brush allows you to get way under your stone and in the teeny tiny crevices around the setting that harbor dirt and dust, which mutes the light going into and coming out of your ring. I can’t believe how effective this little pen is." —Buffalo Mama

Get it from Amazon for $6.89.

    5. An earwax removal kit because cotton swabs really don't cut it (and can sometimes make things worse) when it comes to major wax buildup. With just a couple of drops, you'll be able to see and feel the wax flush from your ear and, with it, the sound-muffled world you'd been residing in.

Promising review: "My husband has problems with ear wax building up. A couple of years ago, when he had this problem, his doctor gave him Rx ear drops to use for four days, before coming back to irrigate his ears to remove the softened ear wax. THIS time, I bought Debrox and an irrigator ball. He used the recommended amount of drops twice a day, putting a clump of cotton in his ears after application so the drops didn’t all leak out, for the recommended time frame. Then, he, himself, used the ear irrigator a couple of times while leaning over the bathroom sink, and he saw and felt the wax flush out from his ear. Wonderful. Saved a trip to the doctor." —Not A Lot Of Money "Mom"

Get the kit from Amazon for $7.98.

    6. A hecka durable duck chew toy for eliminating the constant need to clean up stuffed animal guts whenever your adorable-but-destructive good doggo destroys yet another chew toy approximately five minutes after receiving it.

    AnaMaria Glavan / BuzzFeed

BuzzFeed Editor AnaMaria Glavan got this for her own dog and was amazed at how durable it is:

"My French Bulldog is extremely spoiled and gets new toys all the damn time — my sister will, I’m not kidding, raid the rows of TJ Maxx once a week for a new seasonally appropriate squeaker. There’s currently a mangled pastel purple bunny sitting in the garbage because, yep, he chewed right through it in a day… which brings me to my point! Chew toys can cost anywhere from $10 to $14 a pop and last maybe three days with minimal play. My dog sleeps for 18 hours in a 24-hour cycle so it mystifies me that he manages to go through them so quickly. But a few months ago, I found this very plain yellow duck toy on Amazon that had over 14,000 reviews with buyers claiming it could take a lot of wear and tear. I thought, my doggo deserves the best so let’s try it out.

Folks! This duck is woven with Valyrian steel! I literally purchased this on November 24, 2020 (and I’m writing this it is March 25, 2021) and it’s STILL GOING STRONG. It has not torn, ripped, there is no toy entrail fluff scattered throughout our living room.. nada. It’s still perfectly intact and Rockie generally prefers this toy over any other one in his ever-changing arsenal. It’s also perfect for his medium frame but I can see it being equally as ideal for smaller dogs because it’s lightweight, despite being on the larger side. My dog is also strange in that he prefers sleeping on this random blanket in the corner than in his bed and sometimes he’ll drag the duck with him and lay next to it and I eyes fill with tears when I think about how adorable that is.

The best part is that the toy costs less than $10. Considering the quality, you’d expect it to cost *way* more considering that I haven’t had to replace it in the four months of me owning it. And again, I want to stress — my dog typically shreds through toys in less than a week, so to have one last 15x longer?! It’s pretty sweet. I also want to point out that the squeaker isn't obnoxiously loud which is pure bliss."

Get it from Amazon for $7.90.

    7. A canvas cup holder that'll cradle your boba or third cup of iced coffee in cuteness, keep your hands from getting cold, and make precarious walks when you have too much stuff to carry a lot easier.

    Dreamy Daisy / Etsy

Dreamy Daisy is a small Etsy shop based out of Washington, D.C. Check them out for all their handmade accessories, like canvas backpacks, spa headbands, scrunchies, and more.

    8. A pack of bottle-cleaning tablets so your metal tumblers and impossible-to-clean water bottles can look clean for the first time in forever with NO scrubbing required.

a stained mug before, during, and after cleaning tablets have been inserted, revealing mug is stain-free after use

Promising review: "What is this sorcery???? I have had my metal tumbler for four years now and no amount of scrubbing or scrapping has been able to remove the stains from my tea! Seriously though, this is my dedicated teacup and it had four years' worth of tea staining/buildup. I won’t lie, it took four tablets and I used boiling water and let each tablet soak overnight over the course of four days but my cup now looks brand new again. So glad I found these! Now I know exactly how to take care of my cup and it will never get back to the way it was before!" —Chrystal Mayo

Get a 12-pack from Amazon for $8 (also available in packs of 36).

    9. A double-sided hairbrush cleaning brush if you're lowkey disgusted by hair the minute it's no longer on your head. This handy tool will do a better cleaning job than your fingers ever could, with a pointed end for picking out tangles and stiff bristles to remove all that built-up hair, dust, and fluff.

Promising review: "This is the tool I never knew I needed. It may seem like a silly thing to spend money on when you can clean your brush out by hand but this gets so much more out of the brush! It's easy and rather enjoyable. Who wants to brush their nice clean hair with a brush full of dirty oily hair and dust. When you really think about it makes you want to throw out all your old brushes. I will be buying these as gifts for all my girlfriends." —emmaline

Get it from Amazon for $9.95.

    10. A silicone TubShroom to catch all that slimy wet hair before it sinks to drain depths unknown, meaning you can just skip the lose-lose decision between calling your plumber to clear your drain or doing it yourself (gagging all the while).

The TubShroom fits any standard 15" to 17.5" bathtub drain. Try the SinkShroom if you're having clogging trouble at the sink, too!

Promising review: "I never write reviews but I owe my life to this product so I figured I might as well. My roommate and I have fought for nearly a year due to the fact that my hair falls out in the shower and regularly clogs up the drain. This is the only product that has ever worked (at $13 too??). It's ingenious and solves a widespread problem using simple mechanics. BUY THIS!" —Conner Nevel

Get it from Amazon for $12.45+ (available in six colors).

    11. An affordable teeth whitening pen because spending tons of money on whitening products that leave you with teeth sensitivity is, in my professional opinion, no fun. For under $20 you can whiten your teeth anytime, anyplace, in just five minutes, and without any lingering pain.

a split before and after image of a reviewers yellow teeth before the whitening pen and their teeth appearing whiter after use

Promising review: "Due to prior experiences with Crest and Equate whitening strips I always deal with tooth sensitivity even after the first use so naturally I only use this pen every other day thinking I was going to deal with the same issue and surprisingly I don't. I actually really like the way it whitens my teeth and love the fact that I'm not dealing with any tooth sensitivity pains." —Claudia Garcia

    Get a two-pack from Amazon for $19.99.

    12. A battery-operated fabric shaver for rescuing well-loved knits from the horrors of aging — lint, matted fibers, and pilling, oh my! It's like a tiny vacuum; just empty the detachable lint catcher when you're done, and enjoy your revitalized sweater.

A split reviewer image of a pilled sweater with text that reads "Before" on top, and the same sweater without visible pilling with text that reads "After" on the bottom

It kills me inside when I see a favorite sweater start to pill, so I bought this exact shaver to spruce up some of my older knits. It's great and weirdly relaxing. When I first got it I was de-pilling everything, from the intended sweaters to the throw pillows on our couch. It's a little loud so your roommates may or may not come out of their rooms to see what you're doing...but it's totally worth it to make any pilled fabric look years younger.

Also, be sure to pick up two AA batteries! They're not included.

Get it from Amazon for $12.99.

    13. A reusable pumice stone that'll make quick, clean work of the stubborn stains and brown rings plaguing your toilets, sinks, and tubs for who knows how long.

reviewer photo showing toilet half cleaned with the pumice cleaning tool

Promising review: "When we bought our previously owned condo, all three of the toilets had a permanent dark ring. I must have tried at least six different cleaning products that claimed to eliminate rings. None worked. I was actually considering buying new toilets as the ring was embarrassing to me. A friend recommended the pumice toilet bowl ring remover and I was prepared to be disappointed again. But it worked perfectly. The ring is gone on all three toilets and it only took a few minutes per toilet. I don't know when I have ever been so totally satisfied with a product. It just saved me a whole lot of money and I am no longer embarrassed by the appearance of my toilets." —lynn mcdonald

Get it from Amazon for $11.29 (also available in packs of two and six).

This cleaner will banish stubborn streaks, smudges, and grubby fingerprints with a streak-free formula that simultaneously polishes and protects surfaces from future stains.

It also comes with a microfiber cleaning cloth!

Promising review: "We got this product because while stainless steel appliances look so nice when you first get them, as soon as you start using them you get fingerprints galore. All of the 'home remedy' tricks we tried were annoying, or so labor-intensive as to be overly frustrating, so this product has been wonderful. It takes only a few minutes to clean all the appliances and make them look brand new again — great for when company comes over and you want to pretend like you always live in a magazine spread for home rather than the comfortable way you normally do :-)" —Anton Stocker

Get it from Amazon for $14.95.

    16. A terra-cotta sugar-saver to turn your hard-as-rock clump of brown sugar into a soft pile of ready-to-use sweetness (and keep it that way).

Just soak it in water for 20 minutes and place it in your sugar to soften and maintain moisture for approximately three to six months.

Promising review: "I was nervous to try them in case they were a waste of money. Yesterday, I followed the directions, i.e. soaked them in water for 20 minutes, then plopped one each in containers of hard-as-concrete dark brown sugar and one of light brown sugar. I didn't dry them, just dropped them in on top. So today, I took the containers down and looked, and each container of formerly concrete-hard sugar was easy to measure out, no lumps, it's a miracle!" —NGS

Get it from Amazon for $8.70 (available in a variety of styles).

    17. A bottle of Tend Skin Solution because you thought ingrown hairs and razor bumps were just another part of life. This little blue bottle is here to show that you thought wrong.

Promising review: "I was very surprised by how well this product works. I’ve been using it once a day every day for the past month and it really has made a difference. Exfoliating wasn’t enough for my skin and I don’t like to sit there pulling out my ingrown hairs. It smells like alcohol but I was very surprised by how it leaves my skin. It does not dry it out but leaves it moisturized instead, and my ingrowns have been reducing." —Krystle

Get it from Amazon for $15.99.

    18. A length-adjustable pet hair broom with rubber bristles for wrangling the fur trapped in your carpet and a rubber head that works like a magnet on wood and linoleum to attract stray hair. If that wasn't enough, there's also a built-in squeegee for corralling spilled liquids and cleaning glass.,

Promising review: "I love this damn thing. I use the squeegee side daily on a sealed concrete floor to pick up dog hair. Works like a champ, and even does a great job on edges. So easy, the hubby voluntarily sweeps with it every day, sometimes twice. I also got him an EyeVac to instantly suck all the hair and dirt up without him having to go hunt a dustpan and chase the dustpan debris line across the floor." —PA Lady

Promising review: "These work really well! I have a 14-inch mattress, so keeping the fitted sheet well secured has been a struggle until now. One of the best purchases I've made. I followed someone else's advice here of turning the sheet inside out, putting the fasteners on, then putting the sheet on the mattress. Made them very easy to use." —Jayne Voyt

Get a four-pack from Amazon for $7.99 (available in three colors).

    20. A scratch-free scraper tool so you can stop fruitlessly scrubbing away with any old rag and finally clean out all those grime-caked cracks and crevices once and for all!

A before and after of the scraper tool showing how effective it is at removing almost all the rust from a stove

You can use this to remove candle wax from tables, dried food from countertops, adhesive stickers on new products, soap buildup in bathrooms, etc!

Promising review: "The perfect handy tool for getting into tight places. It's firm enough for multiple uses but it doesn't scratch or mar surfaces. I should have gotten the five-pack; I have so many uses for these things. I think the best use yet was cleaning the sliding door track. I finally could get into the corners to get the grunge out. A great invention." —Miss Picky

    22. A powerful mold and mildew stain cleaner to lift the most daunting grout and caulking stains without the back-breaking scrubbing. Just apply the concentrated gel formula, wait six to eight hours, and watch your stains (and your worries) wash down the drain.

Promising review: "We moved into a new apartment and the mold was out of control and it was disgusting. We tried so many products to get it out until we found this one and decided to try it as we didn’t have anything to lose. I’m so happy we bought this! This is basically concentrated Clorox as a gel so it’s so much easier to apply than the liquid and it kind of stays in place. You just have to apply it, wait a few hours, and remove it (no scrubbing required). Just make sure your shower is dry when you apply it and you’ll be good to go. Definitely worth buying if you have the same problem and nothing has worked." —Chris

Get it from Amazon for $12.99.

    23. A hair finishing stick for making your messy bun look a little less messy by smoothing flyaway hairs up and away in seconds.

Promising review: "I was skeptical of products like this, but I figured it was cheap enough to try. I'm SO glad I did! I always have what I call 'fluh fluhs' coming out of the part on my head and no matter how many times I wet them down they stick straight up again. This product sticks them down and they stay down! The only caution I would give is that there's a little learning curve of how hard to press the wand to your hair. I find that I need a very light touch or I get too much of the product in my hair, which then looks a little greasy. If you wipe the brush as you pull it out you should be ok — just like mascara! Great buy!" —tinyntuff

Get it from Amazon for $6.38.

Add in mid-Atlantic summer breezes and skirts and well, you have a potential disaster on your hands, right? NO. These babies will keep your hemlines down where they belong, and they work hard without being cumbersome. They're lightweight but dense, can easily be adjusted or moved without removing the backing, and they come in their own case — what more could you ask for?" —tahlia pankau

The seat gap filler is flexible and fits into most cars. The pack comes with two gap fillers (one for both the driver and passenger sides), a sticky pad for keeping items like your phone from sliding around, and an LED car light.

Promising review: "I have to admit, my expectations weren't very high. I thought it was more of a joke when my husband got this for me for Christmas. Little did I realize, it would be one of my favorite gadgets ever! I don't know if I realized just how many things went missing in my seat gap. It has really saved a lot of things from disappearing into that black hole. It was easy enough to fit into my car and it's soft! It's just like an extension of my seat, except it fits every curve of my seat! There really isn't another product that compares to this. That's why I gave it five stars!" —Tessa Forbes

    27. A genius waterfall soap dish for saving your bars (and your hands) from a wet and slimy fate, and keeping your soap lasting a lot longer.,

Promising review: "My only question is why didn't someone invent this super helpful thing earlier? Over the years I've used various soap dishes made of different materials — plastic, bamboo, even tempered glass. In every instance, the design flaw is always that the bar of soap eventually winds up sitting in a pool of water becoming a gloppy mess. This waterfall design is awesome! I've only had this thing for a few months and my usual bar of soap that used to only last three to four weeks, now is into week 8 and should last almost three months! The slanted design allows the bar of soap to dry properly. Definitely one of the best purchases I've made in a while." —Hormiga Jones

Get it from Amazon for $13.33.

    28. A stainless-steel foot file so you can scrape off years' worth of dried, cracked skin and feel like the foot model you were always born to be. Now, go forth and rock your strappiest sandal!

Promising review: "After several visits to a professional pedicurist and not getting the results I wanted, I looked for a solution. Initially, I was skeptical of using this on dry skin, but I quickly realized why you do. It is similar to woodworking or ice sculpturing. You have total control of the amount being removed. After a summer in Chaco sandals, my feet were out of control. This is an amazing product I'd buy again and again." —Ken

Get it from Amazon for $10.99.

    Maitland Quitmeyer/BuzzFeed, Amazon

You can even mark the date you opened it on the top of the stopper!

BuzzFeed editor Maitland Quitmeyer has first-hand experience saving her bubbly. In her own words:

"I love bubbles — champs, cava, prosecco, sparkling rose — they just know how to bring the party! But no one likes when sparkling wine goes flat, or you feel like you can't just have one or two glasses without ruining the whole bottle. So I went on Amazon and found the best champagne stopper I could find and immediately hit 'add to cart.' What a great purchase! This little bb is so easy to use — just pop it on top of the bottle, push the metal sides in so it clamps on, then push the top button several times to vacuum seal and preserve the bubs. Then when you next want a glass, spritz, or mimosa, you'll hear that same *POP* you heard when first taking out the cork — and the effervescence you so crave will be fully intact. Plus, you can confidently store your leftover bottle on its side in your fridge; I've had zero leakage problems with this thus far!"
