If you hadn't noticed, people have been buying A LOT of stuff these past few days to stock up for the coronavirus quarantine.
And in case you didn't know, bulk-buying and hoarding can have harmful effects. If one person buys a ton of the same item, it can prevent other people from having any at all. Like diapers for their baby, or milk for their family.
But it's been kind of amusing seeing the more peculiar items some people have been panic-buying, like every single flavor of chocolate-covered pretzels.
Just ran to the store to get one little ingredient for my veggie soup. The man in front of me was purchasing $37 worth of “essentials.” I’m not sure if I’m horrified or jealous.
Or over a dozen bottles of Thousand Island dressing.
