One of the many challenges of dealing with a mental illness is having to hear the assumptions and judgements of people who don't know what they're talking about.
Maybe they think that just because you take care of yourself and socialize, you're not actually depressed.
Perhaps your friend who doesn't have OCD calls themselves "OCD" just because they like to keep things organized.
Maybe people have disrespected you or hinted that you were weak for not being able to break out of a substance addiction.
