This Horse Saving Two Other Horses From The California Fires Is The Sweetest Thing I've Seen All Week

This will both make and break your day.

Thousands of people are having to evacuate their homes in California to avoid massive wildfires that are being fanned and spread by winds.

During the evacuation of an area outside Simi Valley that's home to numerous ranches, CBS News caught footage of a horse running back into a danger zone to save two other horses. It may or may not have brought tears to my eyes.

Incredible video of a horse going back to rescue two more horses from the fire caught by @CBSLA @joybenedict and her crew. You'll see this and more on the @CBSEveningNews with @NorahODonnell tonight and continuing on @CBSLA and @CBSNLive

The horse had already been rescued from the fire when they decided to turn back around and help the other horses.

They go back inside the smoke-filled ranch and you see them reunite with a big horse and baby horse...

...and then lead them out of the danger!

There is no confirmation of how (or if) this horse is related to the others, but I'd like to think they're all one family.

Either way, this horse is a national treasure and deserves a medal. Or a snuggle at LEAST.
