I Want To Be A Member Of This TikTok Family That's Been Having Wild Quarantine Dinners Every Night
Can I come to the next one if I stay at least six feet away?
I'm honestly really impressed with the creative ways people have been filling their time during this seemingly endless period of social distancing.

Now, I don't like picking favorites, but I think I've found one in this sea of greatness.

Derek Cannuscio, a 14-year-old from Massachusetts, has been spending his quarantine making themed dinners for his family. Luckily for us, his older sister Caitlin uploads all of them to TikTok. The first one was airplane-themed:
"The airplane came to me because I am an aviation enthusiast and I felt bad my sister couldn't go on her spring break trip, so I wanted to try to create one for her and my family," Derek told BuzzFeed. "I like to make them laugh — life's too serious right now."

He also made a Cinderella-themed dinner exclusively for his parents:
And he had a day where he pretended to be a barista (with fake boobs and a Ben & Jerry's apron, but that's none of my business)!
"Our fun dinners make us all laugh and ultimately bond our family together," Caitlin told BuzzFeed. "Before quarantine, my family rarely ate dinner together because of everyone's busy schedules...COVID-19 has showed us that in times of stress and even a country in lockdown, we will always have our families to help get through things."
Thank you to the Cannuscios for emphasizing the silver lining of this not-so-favorable situation!
