This "90 Day Fiancé" Star Has Probably Made More Than Your Annual Salary In One Week By Selling Her Farts

    Get a whiff of this...

If you're a 90 Day Fiancé fan like myself, you probably know 31-year-old Stephanie Matto from some recent seasons over the past couple of years. Here's her and her former beau Erika, who pretty much fought every single episode of Before the 90 Days:

But we're not here to talk about 90 Day Fiancé. We're here to talk about farts. Farts in a jar, specifically.

Stephanie recently went viral on TikTok in a video titled "Day in the life of a girl who sells her farts in a jar!" The video — which now has 6.5 million views on the platform — stopped me in my tracks.

I had no choice but to click on her profile and further investigate the situation. There, I found another video where she talked about making $45,000 in one week from selling the aforementioned jarred farts. $45,000 IN ONE WEEK!!!!!

Now the only question remaining… did I really poot 97 times in 2 days? Leave your theories below! 😉❤️ #90dayfiance #NBCAnnieLive #DealGuesser

PS: Does anyone else think of the 2011 song "Jar of Hearts" by Christina Perri when you hear "jar of farts," or are you normal?

The journalist in me was ravenous for more information. I decided to contact Stephanie to hear more about her gassy new venture. "I think my main motivation was money, but I also thought it'd be a hilarious publicity move that would get a lot of people's attention," Stephanie told BuzzFeed. "And it has definitely worked."

Along with starring in reality shows, posting on YouTube, and writing books, Stephanie is also the founder of her own 18+ fan subscription site called Unfiltrd. "Working on my own adult-friendly platform these past few months has made me very aware of the different types of niches and markets that are out there," she said. "Over the years, I've gotten a few messages from men and women wanting to buy my worn bras, panties, hair, bath water, etc. I thought farts were super niche, but also something fun, quirky, and different! It's almost like a novelty item!"

I was curious about Stephanie's (f)artistic process, so she gave me a rundown of what a typical day on the job looks like for her. "I usually follow a pretty strict diet, but I do allow myself 1–2 cheat days every single week, and those are the days that I will indulge in specific types of foods that I know will make me more gassy," she said. "I also like to combine my 'product' with something that smells like me, so I spritz one of my favorite perfumes into each jar to give customers the most immersive experience...I put a small fabric petal or flower into each jar — it's aesthetically pleasing and also allows the scent to attach to it and last longer."

Since she started putting her toots on the market, Stephanie has made over $50,000. "My inbox on Unfiltrd is flooded daily with people wanting to purchase jars," she said. "I have also been getting requests for videos of me creating the jars. I think I've really tapped into a huge market, and there seems to be endless potential."

Stephanie said the people who typically buy her product "are usually those that like collecting oddities and are either fans of me or the show!" In the past, some of these fans have taken their fascination with Stephanie way too far, so she's prepared herself for some of the safety risks that might come with her participation in this market. "I have dealt with stalkers in the past — people finding my address, and so on. It's scary, but it's a risk that comes with this job and something that I've learned to accept. I take proper precautions. I have bear spray at my house, and a dog that is trained to attack on command. I'm looking into getting a gun license as well."

I honestly love Stephanie's ability to unabashedly promote her hustle and talk about a stigmatized topic so freely. When I asked her how she summoned this confidence, she said, "It hasn't been easy to let go of that feeling of caring what others think, but I am much happier and much more successful ever since I've started to live my life unfazed by the opinions of others. If anything, I am grateful that I am able to entertain, spark debates and discussions, and open people's eyes to different ways of life."
