Do You Hate The Same Things Everyone Your Age Hates?

And we got data to back it up!

The Pudding, a super cool journal of visual essays, recently analyzed data from Hater, the dating app that matches you with people who hate the same things you do. They looked at more than 30 million feelings toward more than 3,000 random topics, and here's what they found:

First, here's a general list of things they found people loved and hated:

They also broke things down by age, because the things we love and hate can drastically vary from one decade to another. For example: If you're in your thirties, having roommates might not be your thing, but self-love is <3.

Food choices are also different with age. You'll learn to love sparkling water in your late twenties, but you'll start realizing eating bread before a meal is a trap!

Your love for celebrities changes as well. According to data, teenagers are into Guy Fieri, but fortysomethings have no love for Beyoncé.

Butt selfies and malls are cool if you're a teen (???), but you'll probably grow tired of both in your mid-twenties.

As far as partying, there's no surprise here. Raves are for young people, but beer pong is for everyone.

And if you ever find yourself in an awkward situation, like...say a first date with someone you met on Hater, you can always bring any of these polarizing topics up to make matters *more* awkward.
