A 7-Year-Old Who Lost All Her Hair Celebrated "Crazy Hair Day" In The Best Way Possible

And with a huge smile on her face.

This is Ginessa Vinanti Wride, a 7-year-old who loves fashion, dancing, and karate.

Earlier this year, she lost all her hair due to alopecia, an autoimmune skin disease that causes hair loss on the scalp, face, and other areas of the body.

"On Jan. 1 she took a shower and I helped her brush her hair. It was half way down her back. I found a quarter-sized bald patch on the back of her head, and the area around her temples looked like it was thinning as well," Daniella Vinanti, Gianessa's mom, told BuzzFeed.

In a matter of just 20 days, all her hair was gone. But that didn't stop the stylish 7-year-old from celebrating "crazy hair day" at school.

"Crazy hair day is a day when kids get to do funny, funky, crazy, and silly things with their hair. Last year for kindergarten Gianessa wanted to be a unicorn. So I made her into a unicorn," her mom said.

This year, to ensure her daughter didn't feel left out, Gianessa's mom had to get creative. The result was something any unicorn would be jealous of.

"I came across some scrapbooking stickers in Walmart. They were jewel-toned and extremely sparkly which fit her personality perfectly," said Daniella. "She chose the main design and I applied it to her head. She just wants to be treated like every other kid, she wants to have fun and fit in. She loves crazy hair day and this is a great way for her to feel like she was just one of the crowd."

Alopecia might've taken her hair, but Gianessa's smile and personality remain the same.

"Alopecia hasn't changed anything other than the fact that she doesn't have her hair anymore. She loves to dance, she loves anything to do with fashion, she loves to play with toys, and she loves to do karate."

And even though some people have made rude comments about her appearance in the past, Daniella is thankful for the positive response and support.

"When her hair began falling out at an alarming rate I talked to her first-grade class. I asked them to be her special lookout for anyone that might be bullying her, and I explained what alopecia is. There have been a few times people have made awful comments to her, but overall the response has been amazing."

Throughout it all, Gianessa has taught her mom something valuable: "You're beautiful no matter what you look like."

"Do whatever makes you feel comfortable. If you want to rock the bald look, go for it! If you want to wear a scarf or a hat or wigs just so with confidence. You're beautiful no matter what you look like, no matter what you're going through, or what your inner voice is telling you."
