I am just writing this to let you know that this life is life and it may get crazy at times but you just have to keep your head up and do what makes you happy. Find something that helps you clear your mind. For me it is just taking a walk with my favorite music playing. If you have a great life don’t take it for granted. You never know when it can go to hell. Be happy with the person that you are. You are a beautiful soul. I don’t know who you are but I do know that everybody is beautiful in their own ways. Let me tell you about who I am. I was born in Lubbock, Texas. I moved to North Dakota in 1999. My dad left when I was young he thought drugs was a better option. After some family issues that happened, my mom decided that it was time for her to go back home to North Dakota so we left. I came from very shaky and very rough beginnings and had a very stable upbringing. My mom had a boyfriend from the time I was 3 to 13 when they got married which lasted about 6 years. Things just didn’t work out for her. But she is now in another relationship and very happy. My ex-step dad was not a very good influence on me growing up which led me to raise myself and learn how to be a man on my own. I feel like I am doing a good job as the people around tell me that they are proud of the man I have become. I one-day hope to make a difference in the world any way I can. If you reading this letter helps you though whatever you are going though that would be the difference in the world I wish to make. One day I hope to work not only against suicide but also work towards keeping music in schools and also different types of therapy such as musical therapy. Music has always been my passion. When I’m having a shitty day I just go for a drive put on my favorite music and just think things though. I am also or depending on when your reading this was enlisted in the North Dakota National Guard, and that was one of the best things for me when I enlisted because before my nephew was born I was heading towards a downward spin heading towards drugs and alcohol, but the day I first held him I knew I had to be a better influence for him and that is what turned me around. I made the decision to join because of him. I was going to go to college but I wasn’t ready after I returned from all my training. My life has always been an up and down rollercoaster but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. The things I have learned have helped me become the man I am today and that is a man I can look at in the mirror and be proud of. I hope one day you will be able to do the same.
